Have you tried? Have you acomplished it? Does it happen to you? On the radio they say that if you eat a tablespoon of mustard and a dill pickle before bed it will induce lucid dreams.. Now I've had this feeling before, it's hard to explain, but in a dream I check if it's reality and then I do whatever I want. If I'm having nightmares I literally hit myself in the head with my hands to wake up IRL. I haven't had lucid dreams recently though =/ "Once I dreamt I was climbing on a building. Then I asked myself:"how did I get here anyway?" and really couldn't think of how I got up there. Convinced I was dreaming, I jumped off the building and flew away." LOL
For some reason even if I realize I am in a dream I cannot take control, which can turn every dream into a nightmare.
I remember this one time.. I was dreaming something (I can't even remember what) but then I was like '' Hey wait a minute... this is a dream!'' .. but I was still there, so I was like: '' ok, let's make this dream better'' and BAM I teleported to a room, and there was this super hot chick there... the rest is history xD Unfortunately It's been like 6 years at least since I've had one of these concious dreams
I've lucid dreamed three times. Each time, I've had MASSIVE amounts of sleep paralysis for what feels like hours. I try not to lucid dream anymore. It's not worth it...
has anyone ever dreamed of swimming under water or sleep/lay down into a weird position to the point in which you cant breath and must force yourself to breath as if coming up from water? because that happens to me sometimes and kinda scares me =\
In dreams where I'm swimming or otherwise in a limited air situation, I'll wake up gasping and feeling like I can't get enough air. Nothing quite like you describe though. Sounds like you associate with your dreams quite deeply.
I haven't tried. I'm not sure how one can try. But I have had around ten lucid dreams. Strangely enough, the first one I had was the night after I first read about them and learned that there was such a thing. When I realised I was dreaming and I could see how effortlessly I could shape any part of the world around me at will, I felt overwhelmed with the power I had and lost control. Dream world became complete chaos, I produced too much adrenaline, and I woke up. For lucid dreaming to work, you need much self discipline and self restraint. Through the next few lucid dreams I had, I became calmer and better in control of myself with them.
When I was a kid I'd sometimes have crappy (though realistic) dreams about school. I'd go "screw this I quit" and wake up. There was also a time I've had several cases of sleep paralysis. Something like after seemingly "waking up" I was lying in my bed and looking at Meee lying in my bed at the same time, only I couldn't move. Though for Meee those didn't last long, and I was always able to break free with force. Finally lucid dreams, I've had a few where I really realised it's a dream and could act on that. Like in one of them, after some sort of dungeon crawl I ended up standing right next to my house. That's when I "got it" so I grew wings and flew around for a while until I woke up - it really is an awesome feeling. In others when I faced an obstacle I'd whip out magic to deal with it. (Fireballs, freezing, the classics). Unfortunately - or not? - few of those later my mind grew accustomed to the idea and -usually after I already woke up -I'd realise it wasn't a lucid at all, just my dream image learned to to use magic in normal dreams. Few really awesome dreams with that, one especially that I still remember in good detail (though not as well as few days after it occured anymore ), but I haven't had any really fun one in half a year or more
well i tend to have them pretty often....but i don't like creating a dreamworld and then waking up from it....it leaves a sucky feeling...nightmares on the other hand....now my nightmares could make some good horror movies
