    How machiavellian are you? Take this quiz and discuss.
    ====
    I rated high, very high. makes sense since I even manipulate my own family and friends. After all why do yourself what others are willing to do for you. Bonus points if you convince someone not willing to do something for you otherwise. :D

    My family believes I would make an excellent backstabbing attorney.

    I scored an 88.

    However, I don't believe I'm Machiavellian. The quiz relates Machiavellian concepts, such as lying, cheating, so on and so forth. I don't believe these are right, nor do I attempt to rationalize them. I simply believe that the concepts they present are true.

    I would more readily describe myself as cynical.

    'The Machiavelli personality test has a range of 0-100

    Your Machiavelli score is: 62

    "high Mach", you endorse Machiavelli's opinions.

    Most people fall somewhere in the middle, but there's a significant minority at either extreme'

    :< awrrr, i was hoping it would be lower

    1. of, like, or befitting Machiavelli.
    2. being or acting in accordance with the principles of government analyzed in Machiavelli's The Prince, in which political expediency is placed above morality and the use of craft and deceit to maintain the authority and carry out the policies of a ruler is described.
    3. characterized by subtle or unscrupulous cunning, deception, expediency, or dishonesty: He resorted to Machiavellian tactics in order to get ahead.
    –noun
    4. a follower of the principles analyzed or described in The Prince, esp. with reference to techniques of political manipulation.

    Basicly it is the tendency to decieve and manipulate others to get what you want. Originally it was termed for underhanded ways of gaining political power, but psychologists extended it to general living and personality.

    I got 68.

    Either this thread is full of manipulative people or the test is inherently flawed.
