Making posts vanish

Not sure how it's called in english, but I've seen it on some other board, there was an option while posting a message to make it vanish after some time (several days, week, month etc). Maybe it's just me but I sometimes feel like posting something that's not-all-that-much related to the topic and with this I could do this whithout the mods ahving to delete it (and punish me ;p), because it would just disappear after a week or so.
Of course these posts wouldn't make minerals since they disappear anyway and I don't see how they could contribute much. Not sure how hard it is to implement this though.

I like this idea a lot, but maybe cost minerals to do instead, so ppl don't abuse this.

 

I agree. It should cost some minerals.

 

You just gave the definition of spam, so no. Imagine everyone using just 1 of these in a single topic in a short period of time... unnecessary clutter imho.

 

Yeah, it would cause to much trouble. Imagine people quoting those posts, or just reacting to them, and then the originals vanish... I would go crazy while searching for the originals.
