Seriously, it makes the environment look hectic. As if the coming battles aren't gonna do it.
Perhaps it may rotate very very slowly.
That might calm lots of people down, right?
For a second I swear them things had me hypnotized.

You'd rather look at a boring floating stationary one?

It's just another nice touch, sheesh.

Ok, so you think more is better. The more moving parts the better the game uh?
Perhaps you should turn on that Starcraft option that gives the zealot the ability to rotate its head!

    Nice try Major Willy.

You want Starcraft 2 to be bland and stationary?

    Nice try Deus_ex_Machina.

I didnt even notice the pylons rotated either.

imo, its just a nice little touch for the pylon. Having everything stationary won't look as good in the 3D environment sc2 will be in.

I guess they could do with slower rotation, but I don't mind the current speed either. The mesmerizing creep is worse - yet, I don't complain about that either. Maybe you just need some discipline DeM? :p Stop looking at them!

    Give me a break.
So if you could have it your way, most things in Starcraft TWO would rotate in one way or another when stationary all in the hopes that SC II wouldn't be bland. Hey, they forgot to add a rotating beacon on top of the command center?

There are already things rotating here and there, but, my lord, not the pylons too!

At least the option to turn of that animation would be nice.

there would likey be a way to turn off animations like that so weaker computers would be able to run it smoother.

but it you look at the pylon, since it floats like that it would be logical that it would rotate like a top so it would be more stable and not fall over.

OH MY GOD! WHY THE HELL ARE THE TREES BLOWING IN THE WIND! I can't even concentrate and micro any more!!!

The OP fails so hard. A spinning model has his panties in a bunch.

I don't visit here that often, so when I do, I like to leave a mark.
It's good to know that I have already made an impression on you Tychus. After all, that's what this forum is all about.

    BTW, drama queen sounds zesty!

    Cheers,

    Heheheh...rotation equals float.

  17. Did you just notice? Have you not seen his other topics?

Also, Deus_ex_Machina, you're a pissant to me. You've had zero tangible impact on me other than the fact that I will remember you failures for a while to come but, then again, I remember several other non-noteworthy GameFAQs trolls so that is not an accomplishment. I just have a great memory.

ok, try standing something vertically (like the pylon is) and see how long it takes til it falls over. Then do it again and give it a spin before leting it go and see how long it takes to fall.

Laws of nature say that an object spinning is less likely to change it's position. Common demonstration of this is to take a bycycle wheel, and attach a string through one end of the axle so it holds the wheel above the ground yet the wheel is still free to spin. Hold the wheel vertically above the ground and let go. It imediately falls over into the horizontal position.

Now do the same thing but before letting go of the axle, spin the wheel so it goes about as fast as when riding a bike. Now let it go again. This time it did not fall over, but instead stays vertical until the spining has almost stopped.

By having the pylon spin, it takes less energy for the pylon to remain vertical and in place.

I'd burn all my Blizzard products if they did that.
