    I was just reading history yesterday and this word came up (Egypt and Syria attacked Israel 1973). It said that it's some important holiday for the Jewish people. Though it was spelled Yom Kippur. Is that the same thing?

    Yom Kippur is Jewish Day of Atonement. It's the day when Jews look back at the year and atone for their sins. It's the Jews' most holy day. It's also a day to remeber the Temple and all that jazz. I'm not a Jew so I don't know the whole thing, I think I got the gist of it though.

    Yids = Jews
