No, but it looked extremely awesome and pretty original to boot.

8/10 but the point is that it has absolutely stunning music and altogether creates an amazing atmosphere.
This in terms of 2001: A Space Odyssey but done right, without the two hours of boredom and without the storyline that nobody gets.

 

So a slightly abstracted porcelain replica of a dwarf's behind is a no-no?

I agree with the music bit but I also found Kevin Spacey's voice creepy and fitting for the ambivalent Gerty. One of the best films, definitely, because of how original it was and how big of an impace it made without the flashy bling bling.

 

Hey I loved 2001. I read the books before the movie though, so maybe I was able to fill in the gaps?

But any movie that's akin to 2001 is good enough for me, I'll check it out.

The problem with Space Odyssey is that they cut out the initial scene which was the single most important scene of the movie adn without which the story made no sense.
