Most Disgusting Food?

through my life there have been tons of foods that really seem gross to me. I mean, things like es cargo really seem nasty. I've eaten it and I can tell you it tastes gross, too. Even if it was covered in butter and garlic sauce. Well I was looking around at some stuff today and I ran into this, the most disgusting thing I've ever seen people eat:

Though, there's a post later in there that says the blood is cooked in a way, I still have to say, that's nasty.

On another note, something I've eaten many people think is gross is raw oysters. I love the stuff. first time i tried it, though, i almost threw up. It literally tasted like snot, and don't ask how i know, of you sneeze into your hand you kinda get that taste. Well, after that i tried it a few weeks later and it tasted delicious. now it's one of my favorite foods.

I thought it'd be interesting to post the most disgusting food you've ever seen/eaten/thought about since there've been other threads about eating habits ant the like.

Liver.

I mean seriously. It's an organ who's function is to filter the bad stuff out of your body, and you're EATING it? Oh, THAT'S a great idea.




Also, escargot isn't THAT bad

Anyways have you eaten said soup? My first rule of food is not to scoff and say something is disgusting till you have eaten it and proven as such. Half the stuff I initially though was disgusting didn't taste half bad when I tired it.

I do have to agree with Fenix's assessment of liver though. Makes as much sense as drinking your own urine.

 

I can't stand lettuce.

I gag so hard when I eat that stuff.

well, BoP, i am normally the same way but it jsut looks so off putting, i don't think i could stomach to even swallow it, even if it tastes good.

Then, again, I have eaten blood pudding. It's like, take the blood and random bits off discard meat and cook it into a sausage. my uncle makes it and it was good when i had it.

Also, lasanga i think is pretty good, though i once smelled some that was gross.

I've eaten chicken liver before. ew, it tasted bad : (

And yeah, lettuce is bland, though i personally have no issues with it.

 

It's the texture and the lack of taste for lettuce.

And I love lasagna.

The duck blood soup, looks a little odd since it is coagulated like that.

You can practically eat anything and think its not disgusting until you are 3 years old.

I love to eat ESCARGOTS (=snails). The spices which are accomodated to the excargots give them their taste. If you cook those escargots alone with salted water it will have a different taste.

If you eat GAMBAS for instance and you add too many onions, etc .... the gamabs taste will disappear. So just try to cook GAMBAS on water, just add a it of salt, taste them and they will keep their original and better taste.


I looooooooove the LASAGNE of my mother, and the spaghetti too, etc ... It JUST depend on how the cooker prepares those dishes, how they respect their recipe. I can eat my mother's LASAGNE and dislike even the lasagne of an aunt for instance.

There are a lot of dishes I tasted and were prepared by different people. Generally I love my mother's food. Because I am used to eat her foods. A stranger can hate my mothjer's food, but I would be surprised, trust me.

Yes, when you eat them like this. But if you cook them on pizzas they taste good, even if they keep their original taste again.

If you taste them in oil, oil of black olive trust me, you will LOVE them. And taste them on fresh bread. mmmmm

Plus they have good health quality.
