Hi Knives, welcome to the forums. :) My recommendation is that you go ahead and play some practice games, then post your replays here and we can all offer you specific feedback about your playing. Novice games should be a good place to start, and after that the ladder games will put you up against pretty easy opponents near your skill level. The first thing I'll tell you is remember to use the Chrono Boost feature on your Nexuses - good Protoss players use it a lot.

Feel free to check out some of our livestreams which you can view from the front page. You can also check out the Terran's Guide to the Galaxy article if you're playing Terran.

Also read the help page in the game itself. it has the tech trees for all 3 races plus a lot of nice basic info. That'll get you into the game and you'll know what to do. Then you can look around for leet strategies to try.

The best way to learn? Go play ranked matches, and get your *** KICKED. You will sometimes get beaten so badly, you'll be like.."omg this sucks im qutting".

After you've been beaten senselessly, go back and watch the replay. In real-time. Watch everything that that player does. Then try and emulate it your next game. Practice will make perfect.

I mean, that's what I did when i first started playing. Then I got my *** handed to me enough that I made my own strategy and do pretty well, now.

    Hope that helps :D
