Hey guys. I've been creeping around these forums for about 3 weeks now, doing some research and learning about the basics. I bought the game yesterday, and have played probably a dozen co-op games since then online to get a feel for the hotkeys and try and establish a couple build orders. I played SC some and played WC3 for years so I'm generally decent at RTSs. This was my first 1v1 against a medium computer. I know it's probably pretty ugly, so can you guys comment on my build order, micro, base set-up, unit selection, etc? Any comments about any aspect of my gameplay would be much appreciated. I think Medium computer is a little silly, and plan on trying hard here soon, so I'll post that replay once I've played it also. Thanks in advance for any help, and again ANY comments/opinions will be taken into consideration, even if it's not something I did "wrong" but something I could do "different." Also if anyone wants to add me that would be willing to play a co-op game or something online and talk me through their mindset and build order as we go, that'd be EXTREMELY awesome. Theres a ton of stuff someone could say you shoulda done but overall not too bad as far as macro and micro. You did produce zealots a little too early hurting your econ a little that would have put you in a tight spot right around 7 minutes vs a human player. Also you did 3 gates robo which the standards are the 4 gate or 2 gate robo and you got that twilight council too fast. I hope i dun sound like a jerk but realistically you just need more seasoning man like vs a zerg as a protoss you generally wanna wall off and stand Zealots in the doorway with hold position command. Youd have to figure that one out fast to do anything on ladder. Good thing though probably coming from a decent RTS experience is you kept spending in lower leagues it sometimes doesnt matter what you spend it on its whoever spends the most the fastest that wins lol. There are tons of video guides and stuff on youtube on how to execute basic build orders and strats for PVP PVZ and PVT scenarios it would probably help your game dramatically if you had a look at each one and ran it through vs a computer a couple of times too. Anyways like I said lots of stuff to be said but not a whole lot of stuff to judge being your first match vs a computer and all. Check out the online stuff and make sure to get your 50 practice games in so you come into league matches swinging and dont end up in bronze and silver for 200+ games.
