Nigtmares Anyone??

Hmm... All this time ive had very few dreams about less than 30 for the whole lifetime.. and just when I was having a good sleep the other night (October 2007)... I found myself lying in my bedroom but with me being able to see my whole body as if it was a program/show of some sort with a narrator on it..

The parts of the nightmare was quite undetailed coz i only remember flashes of it but anyway, as i woked up i heard a sudden crash of noise downstairs my house, I immediately opened my door and there a man in a gangster cosplay is mugging me, he immediately pointed his deadly umbrella stick to my chest and I was shouting for "Magnanakaw!! Magnanakaw!! (filipino word for robber) anyway as I was shouting that He stabbed me in the heart and when I opened my eyes I was still shouting and when I realized it..... It was a nightmare and my dogs were barking at me for shouting a distress call lol..

The feeling was good coz ive never felt pain could be so real in a dream.. but ever since that ive got no more nightmares or dreams ... again..

That actually sounds like a night terror not a nightmare, because you were yelling in your sleep and probably moving around too.

Now on to my nightmare... I have a huge sword, I think I'm in a jungle, and a ginormous spider attacks me. It jumps at me and sends all its minions(little,normal sized spiders) after me. Very scary... For me anyways. It was a cool sword though. It sort of looked like Frostmourn but not too sure.

 

hmm the last time i had a nightmare i was 9 or so, but i dont even remember the dream, after that i learned to control my dreams if i so desired.

 

I think what you had was an Out of Body Experience brought on through a lucid dream i think theres a thread somewhere already discussing all of this but if you want to know more theres always wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out-of-body_experience.

Most of my nightmares come about when i'm having a perfectly normal dream but after a while i gain slightly more Consciousness and my mind throws in scary things like the ground shaking and a loud booming sound or the plane, boat etc i'm on crashing/sinking ....Stupid brain ruining all my fun...

 

SImbobs nightmare sounded more of a fanstasy to me lol

 

last time i had a nightmare was uber young. I was falling off a super ublery tall building and landed on my shoulder. I felt excruciating pain and woke up...i still had that pain for a while...but it wore off.

 

On that note AcE_01 i was once having i dream where i thought i was a goalkeeper at a soccer match but when i dived for the ball back in the real world i dived off my bunk bed (topbunk) and hit the ground... It didn't hurt at all for about 30 seconds, then it hurt like hell lol xD

I don't have nightmares, pain to me is pleasure. And I am not afraid of almost anything.

oh yeah! Back when i was young i used to move around in my bed. And i fell off!!!! ROFLOLOL it was funni cuz i didnt wake up when i fell....i woke up in the morning and i was like, "err...why am i on the ground" ROFL

I think seeing myself get blown to pieces by an IED was the worst dream I ever had.

I saw myself patrolling some street, bright day-light, and as I was walking there was a sudden boom right next to me on the sidewalk, I saw myself drop to the ground and this wave of dust and smoke hit me from where I was watching, I felt like I couldn't breathe, I woke up, opened my eyes and saw darkness, I gasped for air, and realised I was just sleeping with my blanket over my head.


On a side note, I think the worst dream one can have is when you wake up and cry because your dream wasn't reality. Thats happend to me, just once. :laugh:

 

Eheheh blanket over the head is the worst... I remember once I dreamed I was playing SC2 and then I woke up and hopped on my computer. Then I realized it was a dream... Worst dream ever!

 

i always remember my nightmares

the "funniest"was that i was a robot, but after i woke up i thought the alarm came from inside me

 

Bob I've totally had a dream like that. Except it was like in my sleep I was watching a video of Starcraft 2, except the dream "camera" moved around and I was playing it. Then I woke up and hated reality for a second.

But I just woke up from two nightmares, without waking up in between.
The first one doesn't quite count since it had a good resolution.
But the second one was quick. I have this weird defense mechanism when I'm sleeping is that if I have a pretty disturbing/frightening/alarming/whatever nightmare, I'll wake myself up like, instantly.

The second one consisted of my mom getting shot in the face, then me. I woke up pretty damn fast.

 

My gosh thats awful.

I've had dreams about family too.. It's like a part of my mind knows just what to do to make me feel awful when I sleep...

I had a dream that the appocalypse was going to happen, at 6.69pm (or maybe 6.66? that would seem more like it) the moon was like acting all weird, changing size whenever i looked at it and glowing a dark red colour...
