    My dad sent this to me in an email, and I personally thought wow. I know it's a lot, of course, but I had no idea it looked like that. Wow, you guys have to see this, it's insane. Just thought I'd share for those of us who are interested in the political status such as how much Obama is spending on the stimulus, or how much we're in debt. Or jsut for those who want to know how much a rillion looks like in cash

    I know, it threw me off completely, I had no idea! You just hear it so much, you almost shrug it off in the grand scale of things. And then you see it and it's like an OMG moment

    The thing is that one trillion in debt is where we are. after we are done with everything that is currently planned we are looking at 10 trillion. so that's even scarier.

    No, what's scary is that we've already spent 4 times the proposed stimulus in Iraq and how the conservatives just brush that off cause it was 'justified.'

    Oh wait.

    It wasn't.

    If you think that is scar the U.S. GDP is about 14 trillion dollars, so take that last image and instead of having the pallets stacked 2 high have them stack 28 high and that is how much money the U.S. economy creates in a year.

    wait i thought of one! well we'll call it even. the Korean war...or was it the Vietnam war?...too tired to think right now. anyways France asked us to help them with areas they controlled. we came they left we got beat then retreated. it's even because we screwed the French with our revolution.

    Vietnam war.

    They didn't ask for the US's help, the US military muscled in cause Vietnam was communist.

    Domino Theory yo.

    It's called 'censorship' and it follows the basic concept of the victor writes the history books. Think about it. If George Washington lost, he would be held as an example as what happens when you defy the Commonwealth.

    The US 'tweaked' the civilian records to make themselves look better.

    I wouldn't be surprised if what you said is true. Of course I could be like most Americans and even though the truth is out there, refuse to look at it because then it will pop the bubble that we have made of how great we are.

    @That much cash:
    WOW! That is a whole lot of money to be spending. They better invest it in something usefull this time. It cracked me up to see the US spend 14 billion dollar on general motors, and then wanting it to go bankrupt. Do the people who make the decicion have any idea of just how much they are wasting? Why not invest in green power? They made a law here to force countries to use 20 percent -or something- green power by the year 2020. Lots of people needed to create windmills and all that.

    @ history books
    In Holland the history books start to learn us that we are pure evil at elementary school. All that stuff about the VOC and how many people we killed just to get some curry... You know, when we were uber powerfull with the VOC dominating all non-white people in the world. That was evil. Good thing they left that in the history books, leads to less racism in this country. -Although we now have cases like the Dutch police not wanting white male leaders...-

    in the cencorship thing holland is the opposite of America, the victor gets all the bad "press" qs does our country, and sometimes i think it goes way too far

    for an example, in the time of the dutch trading monopolies we focused in school on how bad they were treating the sailors
