I think I have the early game down quite well for my level but playing against T they obviously always wall. I seem to bog down mid-game with lots of stuff going on and I forget to constantly pump out units or expand and T always overcome me with mass forces. I'm getting into the habit of hot keying my buildings to fix this.

I have no idea what the T are up to until I push out my first obs and by then they are reasonably well established.

What's the best strat to combat T walls? Should I stop making zealots straight away and tech? Expand early? What if they launch and attack early or is that really rare if they wall (playing in bronze league)?

If I notice they don't have a turrets I push out a few DTs alongside zealots so they don't twig the DTs easily or drop the DTs. If they have detection though I find void rays a bit too slow to do any mineral line harassment vs speedy marines. What to do?

The same thing Protoss has done for years. Divide and conquer.

Protoss simply aren't supposed to win a head-on battle with Terran. That's the idea. Ask any toss player from SC1. You need to play it a lot smarter. Just like Zerg has trouble against Protoss and Terran has trouble against Zerg. Obviously try the DT contain which will force him to go for detection, and then you can push with a combination of Immortals, Stalkers, Zealots, and High Templar. Colossus also helps if they're going mass infantry but your HTs should be able to handle it late-game.

If the Terran gets the armor upgrade for Marines it's essential that you upgrade your attack so that your DTs will still one-shot the Marines.

Thing is, in SC1 I was always a Z player (after an early spell with T)! Don't ask me why the switch... I just didn't like the new Z units first time I played them in SC2. Played as P after one game with Z and T and it just stuck.

I think Vikings on the mineral line is something that always gets me with T! Oh, and I've never liked nukes in any RTS.

Thanks for the tips. I think I should actually play more v AI games to explore the different races rather than diving into the multiplayer like I did. I think not starting with the single player missions and learning all the units first has left me on the back foot. I was just too excited to get some online action :)
