Wow! That was pretty self-centered of you to say that PK. The whole purpose of that site is for people to learn new words and expand their vocabulary, all the while benefiting themselves and someone else. It's pure genius!

I always get a big skeptical about things like this. They want countries to devote 0.7% of their national income to these countries? I mean, I see the point, it's all well and good and very humanitarian... Save the world! and all.

But what are you really doing? Making room for the rapid expansion of populations in undeveloped countries where they will both be exposed to diseases (like AIDs) and will continue to impact the environment in a very negative way. Our species is in the middle of exponential growth as it is. There's no need to further facilitate an explosion of our species. We should be concentrating on education and contraception, not the appeasement of an exploding population.

This isn't to say I want people to starve, and I will gladly play this game for hours, but still... I would rather dedicate this vast sum of money ($175 Billion a year) to space exploration and the potential benefits to be reaped from those explorations and experiments.

That is, after all, where we got Aluminum foil, FTW!

They're giving it to people who're starving, not you. It doesn't matter if you don't like rice. There's people who'd take any piece of food because they're starving. Help them out for Christ's sake.

why make a game if they want to donate then they should just give the food away instead of having ppl play a game before they will donate

I got to vocab level 15, and thats not even my first language! I got to 1100 grains of rice playing it for the first time. Very nice thing, its great to help the needy this way.
