I've been playing a ton of multiplayer and having a great time. I'm in bronze which was a little disappointing but theres lots of room to grow right? Well the problem is that, whenever I get points for winning (which is how I assume you rank up)I loose them all next time I loose a game. I get points and the next game I loose EVERYTHING I've just gained over the last 3 games I've won. It doesn't matter if its against someone worse, better or even with me, I just loose them regardless. So I have to never.ever. loose a game in order to rank up? Pretty disheartening to see a big fat -10 next to a game when I played someone better than me after winning 3 games in a row.
Points system works (roughly) as follows: you get +10 to an even-matched opponent (same strenght) (if you have a bonus-pool set up by not playing games for a day or so, points double) There is a bonus to these +10 if your opponent is slightly favored or favored (still, bonus-pool doubles) - or you get less points if you are favored towards your opponent. When losing, you lose most points if you are favored to your opponent (means that you're "stronger" than your opponent but still lost the game). You lose less points if your opponent is favored. so, if you win 3 games in a row and you are all favored you get something like 30 League-Points. One loss shouldn't cost you more than 20 Points. you should still progress. The opponent-placement-system works more or less as follows: You are well placed in a league when your Win-Loss-Ratio is more or less 50%. If your WLR is higher than 50% you will be placed against opponents in higher leagues (like silver in your case). If you still keep up winning, you will be put to Silver. If you are in silver-league and your WLR gets lower than 50% you will shortly be put against bronze players and will likely be put into bronze league. Its not about winning as many games as possible, but more learning and having an even game-experience without being the super-gamer who wins all the games and therefor be bored or losing all games and be disappointed. Unless there is a bug in the game you should make some points. Log in to your account, look through your recent matches and post the points you won and the points you lost. I'd consider it a bug if you are losing more points than earning.....
Before you get all disappointed, you should know that your promotion or demotion isn't dependent on your rank (which is based on your points) especially in the Bronze league. You'll need to have a positive win-loss ratio before the system will consider promoting you. So, you could be in the middle of your division with a good W/L ratio and get promoted to the next league or even two leagues ahead.
thanks for the prompt reply guys, I really appreciate it. Here's a few screens of my match history. that last one really killed me

That's odd- from my experience, I've almost never won or lost fewer than ~8 points. As far as I understand, those +2s and +4s mean you're winning when you're favored like crazy, but why would it be giving you those kinds of matchups all the time? If it is the case that you're being pitted against weaker players, then the -22 would be something like losing to one of those players that you would gain +2 for winning against.
Uhm you're probably not gonna like this I played awful on my placement matches (did that before single player) so when I had completed the campaign I was a lot better and quite easily beat people who were better then me before. Guess you played really well on your placement games so the system thinks you might be a silver/gold level player so it punishes you more for losing to bronze level players. The system's pretty confusing at this point but I think that's how it works.
Oh man Cramsy, I feel for ya. I'm in almost exactly the same situation. I believe I only won 1 of my placement matches, got put into bronze, play exclusively Terran, and now all my hard-earned measly points I earn on wins are ALL gone on the next loss. Like you, I'm usually getting only 2(!) point per win... and usually MUCH higher on the losses. I just lost a match in fact. Had a few games won totaling me 10 points (yay)... and all 10 are now gone in one loss. Back to ZERO points. I'd really like to know what's going on, as you can imagine how extremely frustrating it is to lose all points and hover at position 65+ most of the time. I just thought something. It might not have anything to do with the issue, but it's entirely possible it has everything to do with it... I have some pretty aggressive firewalling and anti-malware going on. Could it be that blizzard thinks I'm trying to hack the game in some way by not allowing certain packets through, and has implemented the low scoring as a form of punishment? I can assure everyone I've never attempted to hack any game, let alone SC2. I'm now going to search around and ensure that I'm not blocking any necessary blizzard packets. Here's my recent games...
I got the exact same problem, it's sooo annoying. Take a look at this thread: http://sc2armory.com/forums/topic/18819. I have contacted Blizzard about it but didn't get a very useful answer, so I have contacted them again. It looks to me as if the problem is related to who is favoured when playing. When I finished a game it always tells me that I were favoured, also when it before the game stated that the opponent were favoured. Therefore it will only give me 1+1 points when winning (or sometimes 2+2), but when I loose, all my points are taken.>=\ I think that you guys should contact customer support like I did, explaining your problem. Then maybe we will get it fixed someday.

very weird idd.... your being placed into fights with people alot worse than you, but after say 2-3 wins you should start playing better players, alltho it seems not, Maybe contact blizzard? what rank are you in the bronze league?
