I really do hope that they will push through that electoral reform:

If Labour gets a new leader, will it be possible for Liberal Democrats to go into coalition with Labour? Have not been sure whether Nick Clegg is open for that.
As far as i have seen, a electoral reform are a big no-no for Conservative, while Labour looks to be a little open on it. But for a Labour-Liberal coalition to work, the irish have to stay away. No offense on that, but as far as a dane knows, they usually dont vote in the house of commons.

Well why would conservatives vote for that when they are the ones who get to exploit the current system the most at the expense of their liberal opponents.

You can't be serious? I'm almost positive you mixed up Conservative and Liberals.
Because the funny thing is the people that dropped the soap years ago have gotten jobs doing the same thing in order to "fix" their problems, the irony.

Your 2 pie charts are a simple case if politicians changing electorates so each area as a majority of their parties voters in it. So you can get lots of votes over all but few seats. In short, it is splitting the opposition's main demograph voting areas in 2 or 3 parts. Very shady politics in my opinion. Very immoral.

yeah, that method of "cheating" the democratic system has always bothered me. there's generally 2 "houses" of government, the house of commons (elected representatives) and senate. i think one should represent people by voting within ridings, the other appointed according to percentage of popular vote for each party.

as it is, the "other" category will always have a disproportionately small amount of power consdering how many people vote for them, while the ones with a relative majority will retain power more easily.

Despite the fact that those charts are utterly useless, and I hate talking about politics I am going to say the system of electing representatives is flawed, and needs to be remodeled from scratch to uphold its promise of "by the people, for the people"
