Now all the fancy new drop down menus are great and the ability to finally rewind replays is long over due...but one big issue. Are there any plans to be able to minimize the time bar that appears in replays? I've been watching a large number of people's youtube vids of commentary on beta games. It sort of makes things very anticlimactic when you know there are only 2-3 minutes left in a game. The guy getting his expos pounded to **** is not likely to pull a big comeback with only 3 minutes left in the replay. It seems to be something everyone doing these shout casts complains about too.
Oh yes I agree hiding the replay timer as an option would be nice. So what the original poster is saying does not happen.
It's very nice to see two long time and credible poster agree with me...and hell, seems like the whole SC2 video casting community agrees... But, I would really like to see a response from Jon; you ARE our voice. You are the admin, you are the guy who makes money (less than I pay for gas to get to work) everyday. I do not mean to complain; I know this site is run by a person who really loves this game. I just want this issue to be known. Jon, I want to hear back from you about how you feel about this topic. You are the window to Blizz; please tell us if a change (again...it's just a minimize butten...ofc I don't know much about coding) is possible or coming. I want to hear from the horses mouth. Sounds like something simple that they could add to the game, i'm also looking for an ability to hide the entire interface for replays that would be amazing as well.
^ Hmmm, very interesting fact. The only reason I wouldn't want the ENTIRE UI gone would be for the unit information portion. I enjoy seeing what skills they can use at the time, or how much HP they have. In SC1, removing most of the UI would work better, since you can't see if units can burrow yet, or anything like that. But when you click on a unit, you can see what abilities have been researched off of them, and I enjoy that. An option wouldn't hurt, though
lol well im more interested in some awesome screenshots without that giant UI blaring in my face, like the ones on the StarCraft 2 page, obviously its possible.
