Hey just wanted to give you guys a heads-up on this before it makes national news tonight...

Some guy got tasered at a John Kerry speech here and now they're going all nutso about it. Big (200 people, LOL) protest now to drop charges against the moron who decided to thrash around when there was a high profile speaker in range. Now... I call him a moron ONLY because John Kerry was on stage. He IS a Senator. You shouldn't pull ANYTHING when there's a high profile target around....

They'd protest for anything, I swear... "My allergy medicine sucks! YEA! PROTEST!"

I would hope we could save the power of protest for more just causes like racism, oppression, etc. But instead we waste it on people who can't choose the proper way in which to voice their opinion. Not that I think what happened to him is right. I just think maybe he could've handled situation better, as could have the police.

He got tasered, and now it's gonna be on the news. Yay! Any takers on the bet which news agency picks it up first?

(For those of you who don't know, there was a similar incident at UCLA a couple weeks ago.)

I'm willing to bet they move to remove tasers from campus law enforcement! ;)

    EDIT: Update!

There are YouTube videos posted of the attack... its actually kinda horrible. He was already in submission but pleading with them when they decided to taser him. He screams. I mean, it's not all THAT terrible.... worse things can happen than being tasered, but it IS a little overboard.

I also just received an e-mail from the University about some kind of investigation of the officers and examination of the situation.

It's already EVERYWHERE. Check Youtube or MSN, ANYWHERE to find a video or read up on it.
