I like to bake in my spare time. Here's a recipe that I've made many times, and done a lot of work to really get right.

    "PROTOSS MOTHERSHIP" Cinnamon Rolls
Makes: 8 giant rolls with cinnamon sugar berry filling

    Ingredients for dough:
    5lb flour
    Sugar
    Salt
    5 eggs
    3 cups whole milk
    1 tbsp dry yeast
    2 tbsp Butter
    2 tbsp Shortening

    Ingredients for filling:
    1 cup dried blueberries
    1 cup dried cranberries
    1 cup raisins
    1.5 cups chopped pecans
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 tbsp cinnamon
    Whole milk

    Extras:
    1 more egg
    Whole Milk or Cream
Your favorite frosting (I recommend lemon or cream cheese)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the solid ingredients for the filling (cinnamon can be added to taste). Mix with a large spoon to coat all the dried fruit in the cinnamon and sugar. Add splashes of milk and mix thoroughly until the milk begins to pool in the bottom of the bowl. Set aside.

In another large mixing bowl (could be the bowl of a Kitchenaid stand mixer), add three cups flour, 3 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp salt, the melted butter and shortening, and 2 cups of warmed milk. Add the liquids slowly so that the flour doesn't form lumps. Beat three egg yolks and five egg whites together in a bowl and add these to the dough in the large mixing bowl. Add yeast to this warm, gooey mixture and fold it in. Add another two cups flour and fold it all together, then add 1 more cup of warm milk. Knead the dough, adding more flour, until it becomes elastic. You're really looking for a moist bread dough here. Let the finished product proof for a half hour, and if it barely sticks to the surface of a clean silicone spatula, that's appropriately moist (otherwise add more flour or milk).

Let the dough proof (open your cold oven, put 2 quarts of boiling water in there (umm, the boiling water should be in a separate pot), and put the dough in the oven next to the pot. This will make things warm and moist for the dough to rise. Let the dough double in size.

Check the filling again, add more milk until liquid again pools in the bottom of the bowl. Good--you're making that fruit not-so-dried.

Punch the dough down and start making the rolls. To make each roll, get about a baseball-sized blob of the punched dough and flatten this into a 12" circle on a lightly floured board. Add about 1/2 cup of the filling halfway around the edge of this flattened dough, then roll it up so that you've got a nice, big tube of filling in your dough. Now, roll the tube up end-to-end into a crescent shape. Place the finished cinnamon roll into a greased 15" x 9" pan. The recipe will make 8-10 such rolls.

Allow the unbaked rolls to proof for another 30 minutes, then cover tightly with a hat of aluminum foil and chill them overnight. In the morning, preheat your oven to 400F. Break one more egg and add 3 tbsp milk or cream to it, beat it all together and then bursh it over each roll. Place the chilled, egg-washed rolls in the 400F oven for 22-25 minutes. Let stand for ten minutes, remove from pan and allow to cool on rack for 10-20 minutes (longer if you intend to eat them over a couple of days). Frost lightly and serve.

Note, this recipe is pretty healthy until you add the frosting. So, it can be eaten as a good breakfast item if you're sparing with the sweet stuff.

    Great for the holidays!

Oh, OK. I thought it might have a home in the "Introduce yourself" forum but people seem to be pretty persnickety about what goes there too. I'll be more circumspect in the future.

Tomorrow, Clossus Merengue Pie (another recipe I've developed over a dozen bakings or so--each baking producing at least two pies). Then we can go on to "Immortal Asian Pear Pie" and "Thor Macaroni and Cheese."

You should make these recipes produce food that actually looks like the units in some way, or has a specific quality of the unit..

Like the Immortal Pear Pie should have a hard outer shell...

It does have a hardened shell, with a network of dubliner cheese gratings for added rigidity. When you cut the pie, it says "I have returned..."

    ROFLMAO.... sweet jesus....

But technically that's the Dragoon quote.

I don't think we know what the Immortal says. I can't remember what he says in the Protoss Gameplay Video...

The "Thor Maacaroni and Cheese" will make you look like a Thor. There are two possibilities:

1.) You work out a lot, in which case your body will just take all that protein and build muscle while it burns the fat right off. You're gonna look like a Thor.

2.) Otherwise, you're not only going to look like a Thor, you're going to move like one too.
