Protoss Needs a Healer!

i haven't seen the shield battery in any of the protoss news for SC2 and frankly I'm discouraged. I mean, terrans have medics and SCV's, zerg have "heal on creep" (and if masses of zerg die, no biggie their just meat shields); what kind of mechanics do the mighty toss have if they don't have their shield battery? I personally use this a lot, I don't know about other players. If there is no "physical" battery maybe units could recharge from pylons ie) give pylons an MP bar.

 

Yes but the Protoss are incredibly hard to bring down. They also have sheild regeneration, so technically they're on the same level as the Zerg regarding regens because they have so much armor to compensate for only the top half of their health being recoverable.

They don't need a healer. What they do need is a court Jester. I know they don't have mouths, but can't we get a psionic smile one of these days?

what i think the protoss need the most is more anti air, and a new defense system, cuz the old/new cannons are just like useless against the new units, a medic for the protoss would unbalance the game imagine a zealot that survives a fight just to get healed to full health! yeah that could be cool but just a little too much for the other races to handle.

 

They have shield regen... That means everything of theirs regenerates albeit slowly, most of its total... w/e.

 

the toss have pretty decent GTA, but they seem to lack ATA, when compared to the viking, predator, and BC, the phoenix, WR, and carrier dont seem to stack up. WR seems to be about even with a yamato gun BC, carriers are expensive and are good against all, but only en masse, and a viking can go to ground mode, while a cobra can use it's missle reflect thingy to deal with the phoenix overload.

 

No need with shield regen. However the shield battery ddnt really imba them much, I dont see why they where taken out. Probably due to unseen balance issues.

 

protoss don't need a healer. They are the strongest race and their shields regenerate so their is no need for a healer

 

An alien race with technology beyond human imagination should have healing and repair, but for the sake of balance: hell no!!

they do. it just like halo shields, if they aren't being hit for a few seconds, they regenerate quickly, but wont regenerate at all when getting attacked.

 

Protoss has more hitpoint/plasma shield point than the 2 other races. I think that a Protoss healer would put the toss a step higher than Terran and Zerg.

 

Protoss doesn't need a healer. They are strong enough. Protoss with healer would make them imba, ugly and not protoss.

In one of the earliest Q&A from Blizzard on this forum, they have mentioned something like if the demand for a Shield Battery becomes prominent during the testing stages, then we'll reinstate the Shield Battery for the Protoss for Starcraft 2. Once again we never know when Blizzard will "change their mind" but I certain that whatever changes and modifications they make to the races, it will be well balanced when the game is released. If it's not balanced, then they will release patches to fix up the problem. So far as we could see, as many members have said already, the Protoss's shield will self regenerate rather quickly once it is out of enemy's fire.

THANK GOD some one has said this. I think the star relice or even the statis orb thingy(i forgot it's name) should do a small heal like the medics
