i know im still young and there are things i fail to grasp but one day i heard the symptoms of rabies which included: Aggressive behavior, irradict movements, cerebral dysfunction and insomnia and with all the flu's on the news of all these old viruses which we thought were not a problem. Now mutating one could easily think that rabies could evolve and take over our brain and go crazy. it wouldnt be like the hollywood zombie but one could imagine it could get pretty close.
    im just saying

No you're thinking of 28 days/week later, which is more apropiate.

Much more like 28 Days Later. However, there's a few major obstacles. Were the illness to mutate, it would probably retain its mortality rate, which is high. Also, it heavily impairs logical functions, yes, creating zombies, but dumb zombies. One of the major aspect of rabies is the sublimation of the 'flight or fight' instinct, channeled towards aggression. Despite what you see in the movies, it would be extremely difficult for it to spread. The signs would be recognized quickly, a quarantine lockdown would take place.

There's a book called (I think) the Hot Zone about an Ebola outbreak, if this kinda stuff interests you, I suggest reading it. Very informative about various procedures in retaliation to a Class 5 hot agent (highly infectious, 85%+ mortality rate).
