Anyone here like rap? My favorite is Fort Minor, even if it was a side project, but I've heard 2pac, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, a bit of Bone Thugs, and a bit of 50 Cent.

50 Cent? Man, stupid commecial pimp rap that is, its not even considered Hiphop if you ask me.

Favorites? Wu-Tang Clan (Ghostface Killah and RZA rock!), Madvillain, Madlib, J Dilla, MF Doom, Aesop Rock, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Airborn Audio, Anti-pop Consortium, Dr. Octagon, Sage Francis, Buck 65 (old work), NWA, The Game, Dizzee Rascal, Opgezwolle

The last one is a Dutch hiphop formation with cool beats and good lyrics, (although most of you wouldnt understand) and if you ask me, Dutch is the best non-english language to rap in besides french. Its not as whack as german rap ;D Its only a shame some dutch artists are starting with that stupid pimping too..

But they are all worth checking out.

Man, it's a matter of taste, I really think Nightwish and Stratovarius suck big time while I like metal (former metalhead ;D) and I also don't like 50 cent and stuff while I'm a huge fan of hiphop.

 

Ugh....I can't stand "Fiddy".....Eminem is OK, he's got some funny songs.....

but i also like some french stuff.. like Klub des loosers, Klub des 7, Ghislain Poirier, etc..

Public Enemy have got some damn good albums! I also like Tupac and Fort Minor. I think Mike is wasting his talent on Linkin Park; he's really found himself with FM.

 

Meh, I like the older stuff, like Master P. But I'm more into rock now.

 

Is Nikkifurie considered rap or electro?

 

The most influential rap artist in my country is Eminem. Heaps of people at my school imitate him.
