What are they like? I remember catching a glimpse of shield regeneration in one of the Battle Reports; the regeneration rate was much faster than SC1, but it only kicked in a few seconds after the unit stopped taking damage. From what our testers have seen so far, do similar rules apply to health and mana?
Because I can. And because using the right terms for the right game is good. And because anyone new to the site and new to SC2 will not get confused if we all use the correct terminology. yes I know gameplay wise mana=energy. But lore wise they are universes apart. And I'm a lore nazi .
Shield regen is fast again. (It was slow while the Obelisk existed.) Hit point and energy regen isn't that fast. In fact, only zerg units regenerate hit points. Roaches only regenerate hit points when burrowed until they get a hive-level upgrade.
Meaning? They only recover outside of battle? Why can't it be fast recovering even within a battle? it would be best considering there no more shield batteries,
I disagree. That would make immortals OP, among other things. Protoss units would all start to look like post-hive roaches.
