    **** just got real.

Funny though, I always pegged Egypt as a fairly stable state.

In general.. more stable than the rest of the Middle East.. I also assumed it was fairly stable.

I just don't think the dictator should step down immediately like some people want him to do. That would just cause more chaos because they'd have to choose someone quickly, and obviously there's going to be differing opinions on that.

Perhaps, but the people will be really pissed if he does not step down. I never imagined egypt being unstable either like a previous poster said, which makes me wonder if these riots are being orchestrated by a hidden hand. Such was the case of the french revolution.

It seems egypt isn't the only one with mass riot movements going on, Iran now too. I wonder if other middle eastern countries will follow in their footsteps. The ottomon empire, a united middle eastern state that was disbanded after WW1 was very powerful during those days, will the people fight and build another united middle eastern state in the future?

Libya now, and Gaddafi is very intent on holding on to power, he's firing on the protestors with jets and foreign mercenaries.

Egypt. Sliding into anarchy? Or the beginnings of democracy?

    What do we think?
