RP board

Ok guys, who here wants a RP board?

I know everyone that posted in this thread does too.

I want, Jon to make a board, specifically for RPs. Who is with me?

 

Srsly tho. I would be up for a Roleplay Board.

 

Oh, this is a petition for one by the way.

 

First this is now moved to space junk considering that is where the board would end up being. Second this is a wish I can actually grant but I would be interested to see the support for it before anything is actaully done.

Space Junk is the place for posting games even if they are RP based. Second because this is something that be very easily done through the use of social groups (especially because of the ability to keep a group private; private clans also come up in the same line of thinking) there really should be a lot of people requesting it before a public board is made.

EDIT: This thread like the potential board will/would be more restricted as far as posting goes by comparisson to space junk.

 

That is why it should get it's own board.

 

The whole point of sub-boards is to avoid clutter in the main board area especially if the board would be appropiate within a different board in this case SJ. Also, if keeping it clean was a problem I am sure an adequite soultion could be figured out.

Either way before any specifics are hammered out I would like to see how much support there is for it, because if there isn't much this is something that could be very easily done through a clan board or social group.

EDIT: On a seperate line of thinking it is never a bad thing for a potential group leader to have control over the membership, which brings the social groups to mind again.

Maybe, it would really depend on the group and setting etc... Either way even if I would that has no bearing on whether I would make a public board dedicated to RPs. This is just something I would have no problem helping with if the interest was there, but there has to be a decent amount of interest and then someone needs to convince me on the advantages of a public board v. a private one or social group.

However, right now I am going to bed I'll check back tomorrow to see if any decent discussion has popped up.

I'm against it. If someone actually wants to roleplay, they can do it in Space Junk. This is just like fan fiction, which after getting its own board failed completely. Like this, people are much more free to start anything they like without any sort of unescessary control. RP has always been done in Space Junk, so instead of just insulting the board, maybe try to improve the quality and start something if you don't like it?
