Anyone played this game made by Shiny entertainment (known from MDK)? The gameplay was really inovating, it's the first strategy game I played that really made good work of the whole concept of being part of your own army (much people think battlezone is better, I disagree). The atmosphere is breathtaking and the landscape stunning (graphics are outdated though, the game is already quite old). The units go from standard creatures (dragons) too really wacky ones (undeads that rip out their own intestines to trow at you, rhino's of stone and crazy dodo like birds that shoot high velocity air). The spells are even more mental; huge tornados and volcanoes, flying cows and even one that litteraly bores the ground underneath you (removing a large part of the playing field.
I did (I played alot games that "no one else did" but didn't play titles like Half Life or splinter cell) Actually I got this game for free with Warcraft 3 preorder. I didn't like units' looks much, but gameplay was awesome. I started with Stratos (most appealing god for me, even though insane - or maybe that was the reason...), but changed to Pyro or whatever his name was. Fire spells FTW! Nothing beats running through enemy ranks with fire shiled on. Oh and some of his units had kind of railguns iirc
Warmonger FTW! That guy rocked. I liked Stratos the most too, but his units are weak and his campaign is really the toughest one on sacrifice. On multiplayer I liked to make custom armies because you could really adapt your army to your own playing style.
Pretty much the reason I changed to Pyro hmm...I think I'll replay one of the campaigns soon if I don't find anything else to play ^_^ Gotta finish bw first
You should do that, you can make your own roster online. Not that you can choose between each spell and unit, but you can choose which level has to be which race; http://sacrificeplanet.net/themes/CoNCePT/Spell_Creature.php
Charnel had to be my favorite. Nothing like moving up close to your enemy and summoning death. Course he kills everyones unites but it's still awsome. If you timed it right you could move your units up, kill or force back the other wizzard, and steal a bunch of his souls.
