A Time Bomb can stop a Nuke. That's nuts - but I'm sure that it would be tough to get the timing right.

True. Although I remember hearing somewhere that upgrading a Battlecruiser will cost 50/50.

Once again, giving us small tidbits of information where a major update is due...

It's Blizzard style. They are going to keep giving us just enough for drooling purposes until the game actually comes out. Then we will all probably explode due to the sheer amount of happiness coursing through our bodies.

Although at the same time by the time the game actually comes out all of these little tidbits and drool-causing agents will have added up to more or less the whole game.

    Sweet thanks.  Great find

I think the mineral gifts need to be rebalanced.  I have seen good posts getting 250 minerals if they even get anything at all while copy and paste work is 1000?!  How about some consistancy.

We'll try to fix that. Apparently I'm really tight-assed with money. And then again ych9 throws it away like a horrible charity.

We will try to fix that problem BirdofPrey.

I think it's because different mods have different standards on giving minerals.
My minimum is 1000 while some other mods have different restrictments. We will try and find a balance to it. :)

Our sites question will probably be answered next week.

god it sucks to upgrade each battlecruiser individually. cant they make the 2 an upgrade and then you just have to pick?

BirdofPrey: These particular copy-pastes are important. I don't typically go that high, but I don't disagree with the amount. If you ever see a post that you think deserves a reward, just PM a moderator. We have unspeakable quantities of minerals set aside for good posts.

I am interested in what they're doign with the Drop Pod. It seems like, if you have to manually load units, it might be a bit more frustrating to use the things... I hope they just let you choose the units to be included in the pod as you build it, rather than force the player to keep a Barracks next to their Shadow Ops all the time.

The Siege tank has an even longer range? That's insane! The thing already had a firing range longer than its sight range, and now... wow.

It is a bit irritating that they answer stuff like the selection group thing... all of the major sites had people that went to BlizzCon, that saw very clearly what those little tabs were for. These people could have answered the question and left room for a more interesting question on the Q&A. Maybe they answer them just to make it seem like they're providing real information....

This is just about hard proof that you can load Ghosts as well, probably Firebats and Reapers as well.

Pre loading drop pods sounds interesting but how would you define which Ghost drops which pod? Maybe clicking Drop opens a second menu (like the building list) that has all current pods listed?

Longer ranged Siege Tanks is very nice, puts more emphasis on scouting. But it reminds me of the DoW Winter Assault basiliks... they had to be nerfed to oblivion later... (on smaller maps they didn´t even have to leave the base) I´m also interested how the Thor will end up, I think he will change a bit. For a assautl unit is seems a bit weak offensively right now.

Upgrading each BC once is a problem? How did the Protoss manage to rebuild scarabs and Interceptors? Upgrades is a joke compared to that.

If you can load any infantry unit, it is not inconceivable that you can load SCVs... a Drop Pod might be a useful way to secretly build a new base on some obscure corner of the map.

I never though of that.  I will be sure to keep that in mind for the future

    --
I think it will work kinda like a bunker; you queue up your soldiers you want deployed and have the rally point set for shadow ops then order the drop pod itself.  By the time the pod is done the soldiers will be ready.  If they have auto gather they might also allow you to autoload if you set a bunker or transport as the rally point.

The thing I want to know is if you have 3 drop pod with different troops then order a drop does it ask you to select the Shadow ops that is loaded or does it just pick at random.  Of course my solution was to have the drop initiated by the shadow ops:  You select the shadow ops then click the launch pod/nuke button and then select a drop location anywhere withing the vision radius of a friendly ghost who then stops what he is doing and starts spotting.  Might be a little complicated though

Yeah Really How much further does it need to shoot? One screen? two screens?[/quote]

Does the SCV actually count as infantry though?

What's this with the bunkers? "They are now 3x3?"

Does that mean the Bunkers are 3 squares x 3 squares rather than 3 x 2, or that they can hold up to nine infantry units (which would be consistent with the new, control-24-units-at-a-time mechanics)?
