I have purchased the game on disc, installed, updated created a battle net account and started the application. The game initialises to the logon screen and requests my account name (email address) i enter the email and push connect..... and i drop out to the desktop. I have been reading forums for the last four hours with the following suggestions. a) internet explorer is set to work offline- i have checked this and dont believe it to be so b)firewall/router- ports forwarded and firewall disabled to make sure c)unplugging network logon, recconnect network- tried and failed d) tracert logged and appears to fail (file attached) any suggestions as it is really driving me nuts?
Can you tell us about your computer first? Hardware specs? Programs you are running? Amount of running processes? Software or hardware firewall? Also, have you tried turning it on to lowest settings before longing in? But my guess is something with firewall or ports.

Help! SC2 wont load I have been playing SC2 for a few moths now with no major problems. a few days ago I started SC2 and half a second after the login screen hits, the game shuts down. I restarted the computer and the same happened again and again for a few days. I reinstalled the game but now when i go launch, I get a dialog saying I need to update the game. I hit yes but it brings me back to the same dialog again. I have been trying to use things from other forums like hijack this (which wont even run). My internet is fine, firewall is allowing SC2 to run as far as i know, My other games such as steam work fine. I am stumped
