i havent played beta, and im very anxious to have this game. but i heard from many people that played beta saying that starcraft 2 isboring, that after a week since they played beta , they stopped playing it... so, right now im like "well, shoudl i buy it or not?" what do you think about it?
Well, I'm a loser when it comes to multiplayer, but I have the feeling the story will be epic. So I will buy it because of the story.
i'd buy it for the UMS maps alone. even if the main game doesn't interest you, there's bound to be thousands of custom maps with interesting features. also, single-player is probably going to be pretty cool.
It sounds like your friends are just bad at SC2 and get stomped every game, so they don't like it. Buy it and host some SC2 lans with them to teach them how to play.
They are wrong. Anyone who disagrees with my opinion is wrong. Seriously, I find it much more fun than StarCraft I. However, if you absolutely hated SC1, maybe the game isn't for you.
Maybe they're not the RTS type...or yeah, they just got their butts kicked way too many times. I don't even see how a game with so many possibilities can even start to get boring.
I've played about 300 games so far in beta. Definitely like it more than SC1 since the improved UI allows me to keep control of my base a lot better, even if I do have to play on low settings and suffer poor frame rates.
