So putting my new pc together didn't go to well...

I kinda got electrocuted by my internet cable. When touching that and my computer case at the same time, all hell breaks loose. I asked my roommate to do the same with his pc, and he got zapped as well. Any volunteers here who want to try it as well? It only seems to happen whenever you haven't plugged in your cable yet. It sucks. :/

Oh, and my dvd drive arrived broken. Had to use an old one instead. Stupid mail people. Don't even know what fragile means, I think. Now let's hope my warranty covers this. -_-'

 

There shouldn't be any meaningful amount fo electricity traveling accross an ethernet cable. Are you sure it wasn't static electricity? Which brings me to the point, make sure your grounded when messing around with your computer you don't want to damage anything.

 

fragile means they whack your parcels with nerf bats instead of wooden bats.

hummm....... you know what..., if your hardware`s arrive by delivery you should not use it after 5 - 6 hrs. at least that what they said. and it`s new to hear an internet cable electrify people. interesting..
