I just started playing SC2 and need someone to coach me online cos i suck In bronze league and i prefer terran
great so what do you need help with?... you could send some replays with you playing, like a lot of others have done, and then we can point out what you need to improve ^^
Well from a zerg point of view I tell you some things that you should and should not be doing as terran 1) ALWAYS block your door. Honestly there might be some tatics that work that don't include the old two surply depts and barricks on your ramp off. But as a zerg player if I see a nice open door I will rush in and start tearing apart your workers and few marines. 2) Get some kind of harrasment going before the ten minute mark. Honestly the last thing you want to give a zerg play (or a toss player for that matter) is a free map and plenty of thinking room. Hellions, Banshee, Reapers and Medvac drops. Get into habit of using these and working on the speed and effectiveness of there use. 3) Scout. Marines are only 50 minerals, is it really that great a loss if the odd one dies after giving you a early warning about a army coming for you or a mineral field being used? Similaly, flyers are usefull for just having a look about and seeing if anything tricksey is going off. 4) Don't go too crazy on the defences. Building 20 SAM towers, 8 tanks that never leave your base and half a dozen bunkers is near certinly overkill. Well placed thors can replace sam towers, a seige tank drop by a medvac is a strategic location going to do more damage than adding a third one to your backdoor and you be amazed how flexable 30 odd marines and 8 maruders is at facing threats.
While I agree with this somewhat if the TC is playing TvT and they guy sends cloaked Shee's that thor will get owned by the time the TC realizes he is taking damage and needs a scan. A launcher in the supply line and a small marine / med group left at the base should be good enough to thwart a shee harassment attempt . I think for the price of 1 thor you can get something like 4 marines, 1 med and the launcher. But again, that's my opinion...I got caught once without detectors and got owned by some DT's.
Sure I will coach assuming north America I'm toochaos 983 and I can prolly play any race above bronze though Terran is my worst so any match up is fine
