I have problem with Geforce 9800 in SC2 beta... Since i got new components, i have spikes all over the screen and they are appearing when Zerg or Terran units are in game, though while playing with Protos units i didn't notice any spikes. I would apriciate if anyone could help me on any way possible, and i was wondering if any of u had same problem.

Maybe your card is overheating? You can also try downloading nvidia's latest drivers.

This fixes 90% of graphics problems I've ever had.

    Do this.

I tryed everything trust me... From running from W7 on 32 bit and 64bit versions, to running it from XP... Also i did tryed with all kind of things, and while driver was updated to the latest version... I'm suspicious that my VGA is not working properly, but i hear that only ppl with GF9800GT 1GB have problems with artifacts appearing on screen... And this is not happening in all games... For example Unreal Tournament 3 is working perfectly, even better... So... don't know that to do... Allso i tryed with friends GF8600 on my pc: was working without artifacts appearing on screen... So im 100% sure that its VGA who is in problem... Since its bright new, and was acting like this since the beggining, ive gave VGA to the ppl from who i bought it, they say its 100% OK... Still i have alot doubit that they are lying... And that is why im asking here for some help, or maybe if anyone had some expirience with something like this :)

Well the 8800 and 9800 series are known to run hot and cause artifacts, nvm - their rather unstable to paraphrase. You might want to consider returning it. Otherwise you could always try selling it on ebay or something similar, or use the old oven trick (No joke, I may not be serious a lot but this actually does work....) Anyways if all else fails, you can't sell it for whatever reason, check out the oven trick. It pretty much resoder's (am I spelling this right?) micro fissures that occur over time in motherboards and video cards... BTW, how long have you had this card?

3-4 weeks, Brand new, but the thing is that i try'ed returning it and they say that its all ok... I tested it with 3D mark 2003 and on one test it fails by showing artifacts... Mostly they are telling me that its general problem with GF9800GT series... And i now i got the way to sell it and get some other card... Any ideas for new graph, which is in her rank (by price) XD I've seen that only ppl who are having troubles with artifacts are having GF9800GT 1GB So... Maybe they are right about the VGA having problems with whole 9800 series... Don't know what to do... Its a damn dilemma... Returning is not an option as i see for now... Though its a rly good VGA as i seen for now (except the SC2 problem with artifacts)
