Built the great land of soviet union. Before soviet union people lived in ****. The land was divided for different owners. Every owner had slaves(peasants) who did all the agriculture work for them and most peasants were treated like ****. The technology was basically at 0. Country didn't have any general laws. Every rich owner of land decides hes own laws on how to treat peasants and other people. Also people didn't get any education. Only few people could read and write.

In Soviet union everyone got education, science flied to the skies, criminals feared the police not like now when criminals get away with everything.

Stalin you were the last hero and you died like a hero.

Actually, doubt he is a troll. the leaders were nasty, stalin was bad, but I have no clue how Russia was before that. Some might say that being mighty but repressed is better than being weak but repressed.

It was a czarist regime, extremely feudal in nature. Until 1917. Most countries got rid of that in the late 1700's, with some holdouts till 1800's. This is bad. Completely stifles technological advancement.

Honestly, it's all shades of grey. I shy away from the term 'good', but the czarist regime was just as bad in many of the same ways. However, the Stalin regime DID bring the Russian nation out of the dark ages (partially anyways).

 

At the cost of what? Lives....

Would you mind being a farmer? or would you rather have your mother and father both killed so you can work in a factory?

I also think that theres no justification for the rise of communism in Russia. It was a bad deal that almost destroyed our own race.

 

Communism isn't bad when applied right, not to mention there is over 10 different types of communism, so depends on which one you are talking about

Also, Mortal, it was not only the criminals that feared the police. If you put yourself up there in the SU hiearchy then yes, it was definitely good if you managed to be ruthless when your superior asked you to. But if you didn't or if you were lower down then you were basically screwed and had to become a "clockwork cabbage" out of necessity and fear. Which was the fate of the vast majority, I might add.

 

Because its Russia, there are MILLIONS more where that came from. Not to mention it embarks fear into the people...

Unless of course they lived in cities etc. Majority lived on farms and out in the country as most of it was not developed.

There is no justice, Stalin killed his men just because he threw hissy fits and could not take the reality.
When Hitler launched Barbarossa, Red Army Generals told Stalin of German betrayal, he denied it, told them they were wrong. Waited DAYS before accepting the fact that Hitler invaded Russia...

 

As a communist I have to say; you sir are an idiot. Stalin is nothing but a counterrevolutionary who has damaged our cause more than any right-wing regime could even dream of.
