I figured I'd make a thread for all the Star Wars fans here to talk about the books, movies, games, and anything else related to Star Wars. Also, I thought we could test each other's Star Wars knowledge in a Trivial Pursuit fashion. I'll go first:

1. Who flew his X-wing out of the Death Star's trench under Luke Skywalker's orders?

2. What Rebel pilot lost his starboard engine just before losing his life to Vader?

3. Who led the third torpedo run through the Death Star's trench?

4. How many meters wide was the Death Star's thermal exhaust port?

5. What X-wing component did R2-D2 attempt to lock down during the Death Star trench run?

6. Who destroyed Darth Vader's wingmate in the Death Star's trench?

2. 1. Wedge Antillies
2. Biggs Darklighter
3. Luke
4. 2
5. Engines
6. Han Solo

A little Shaky on 3 and 5.

3. Luke Skywalker
4. Two
5. A stabilizer
6. Han Solo

4. 1 Who said, "Fear will keep the local systems in line"?

2 What device do Y-wing and X-wing pilots use to help them plot torpedo runs?

3 What did Han say there were "a lot of," during transit to Endor"?

4 How many stormtroopers positioned Han Solo above the carbon-freeze shaft?

5 How many bolts from the training remote did Luke successfully deflect with his lightsaber after donning a blast helmet?

6 Whose advice to Luke included the line, "You are unwise to lower your defenses"?

I haven't read a Star Wars book in so long, I feel almost certain I'd be lost.

But just out of curiosity, when does it take place?

9. I havent read it, have you seen reviews? It appears to take place before the preqels. Id place it at about 1000 years before episode one. Darth Bane is in the essential guide to characters.

It takes place about 1000 years before the events in Episode 4: A New Hope in the Old Republic Era. It explains alot of things about the Sith that you wouldn't have learned from watching the movies or reading other novels, like why there must be only one Sith lord and apprentice at a time.

Edit: Wikipedia says 1020 years BBY (Before Battle of Yavin).

Interesting...I might want to check that out, actually. Always wanted to pick up one of the "old republic" books.

Which reminds me: At what point does Nihilus appear (chronologically speaking)? I know he's way back there somewhere...

Darth Bane: Path of Destruction is the only published novel to take place in the Old Republic Era that I'm aware of. Its sequel Darth Bane: Rule of Two is supposed to come out sometime in December.

Two other books I ordered are:

Legacy of the Jedi is intended for 'young readers' (ages 9-12) but all the reviews I've read for it say that it is well written and enjoyable for all age groups and has a great plot and dialog.

13. There can only be one because the Sith kill each other out of lust for power. So there is only one master who trains one apprentice, which is basically his replacment, for example Darth Vader wanted to kill the emporer and take his place and have luke as an apprentice.

Nihilus appeared 4000 years before Episode four. He fought in the war against the jedi during the formation of the republic I believe
Nihilus is from the video game Knights of the old republic, the second one I think. Ive never played it though

Whats with all the Jedi and Sith books, you probably couldve found some about Mandalorians (Boba Fett, Jango Fett)

I want to try to read the novels in chronological order. That's why all three books take place in the Old Republic and Rise of the Empire Eras. There's an entire series for Boba Fett (6 books, all take place in the Rise of the Empire Era) that I'd like to eventually read. Actually, the first Star Wars book I read was from the Han Solo series in elementary school, I didn't finish it because I thought it was pretty boring.

15. The only star wars novels Ive read are the 3 in the heir to the empire series. They were enjoyable enough, but were released pre prequal so there were some continuity issues.

I read some good reviews for that series. I was going to order one, but Amazon.com did not have any in stock.

Anyway, lets see someone answer these:

1. Who does Vader inform,"You are beaten, it is pointless to resist"?

2. What deflector sheild configuration did the Rebel pilots adopt prior to their attack run on the first Death Star?

3. What skill was Anakin Skywalker already proficient in, when Obi-Wan first met him?

4. What sector in Hoth system did Darth Vader's fleet emerge from hyperspace into?

5. Which of C-3PO's legs was the last one to be reassembled after his ordeal in Cloud City?

6. What rank was the Imperial in charge of the control bunker on Endor?

4. seven

Those questions are fucking hard, I wonder if those are from one card or they just picked and chose the hardest questions.
