This week's patch is a bit more laid back. It's a smaller change but still (surprisingly) gives a small boost to the Terrans and another small nerf to the Protoss in the form of a 10 HP reduction in the unit's shields. The Terran received across the board reductions in the upgrade times for its infantry and vehicle and ship upgrades (all the upgrade times were reduced by 30 seconds). This is a significant boost since in StarCraft 2 a +1 attack upgrade gives a +5 attack bonus. That means +2 would give every unit affected a +10 damage boost. There are also some bug fixes including a correction to Reaper pathing. Good to see they are doing these small changes to the Terran. I don't see nearly enough of them, and even less with any upgrades. Can't wait to try this out.
wow lets just make the protoss completely useless. like pro players are going to completely destroy players with terran now!
I've seen taht the reapers and the motherships have decreased their power, and they cost more and take more time to be built. Like it is said that they are useless. What happened to the radar tower and the sensor tower ? Have they been cut ?
No no. This is not a nerf the Protoss patch. This is more a how would games be affected if we nerfed the Protoss. Since most balancing is trial and error I think these patches are just Blizzard's idea of trial and error. And you testers (yes testers and not just lazy players) will be testing out these ideas blizzard has for balancing.
Wish they did some zerg changes, seems like all zerg players do in vids/streams is mass roaches. I rarely see any broodlords, or any other high tech zerg units
i see marcus (the guy whos in this forum...cant remember his full name marcusdrio or something), use alot of broodlords in many of his youtube vids. And yeah i actually want the lurker back...lol
I'm a Zerg player and I've won many games by using an efficient defence with Lurkers while I attack someone. It's also nice to set a trap for the enemy when they recall right over your base. Lurkers are the only cloaked unit the Zerg have too. Do you think there's any hope of them coming back?
Source? I seem to remember reading that the lurker is undergoing a complete overhaul with major balancing and will be reintroduced in a later beta patch.
I hope you're right about the Lurkers. I miss them already. :O) The roaches look different. It looks like they are spitting green slime instead of lobbing some sort of brown liquid. Do any Zerg players make multiple Hatcheries anymore? I hope the Zerg get a buff to their colonies so they can hold the fort a bit better.
