Umm am I the only one who thinks it looks like a group of students used Blizzard's races and units without mentioning them at all?

^ Nah, I heard that too I find it kind of sad that they used a computer speech program instead of actors.

 

Kerwyn, look at the 1:55 mark, it does indeed mention Blizzard.

 

Your right it mentions it, It says "Original story by Blizzard." Now I am not sure how you interpret that but it looks to me like they were saying the story they were using was written by Blizzard and not really mentioning anything else. Also while I couldn't read the korean so I am not 100% sure but I don't think the story they portrayed actually happened in the Sc universe.

Now im having doubts coz Koreans are ussually the ones updated with everything that defies SC.. so they probably have a first hand on those concept ideas by blizzard writers then editted it into something like that...

Oh ive just finished watching.. it was afterall a project presentation by a group of chinese students.. well i was speechless after seeing it... theres lots of unpolished work but still worthy enough to be called an amateur video ^_^

 

yes starcraft 2 game cinematic should last at least this long and be more war epic than this. ^^

 

i'd welcome long cutscenes with open arms

 

It was one of the best amateur videos I've seen. The only thing that bothered me was the Star Wars intro and the voice acting.

 

no i was talking about the sc2 pre rendered cinematics not in game engine cutscenes. 8 minutes long, just like watching a clip from a real movie. ^^

 

Sounds to me like they couldn't find any fluent English speaking actors so they did the text to speech thing. That ruined the whole movie >.<

Other than that--Everything was awesome. Except for the script [The script was written by someone who does not speak English as their first language--It's obvious] and the voice acting.

/me does a bit of voice acting for her sc expansion homies [So she knows what she's talking about ]

That was some great fan work, I went to school for 3D animation so I know how hard & long it takes to put something like that together.... kodus to the team that made it!

 

Yea, my older brother does this kind of stuff and it takes a lot of time and patience.
