Hey Guys: I know I haven't posted in a long long time but college has kept me quite busy. My last final was today so the first thing I did was compile all the information I had into a set for you guys to utilize. Hope it benefits the community and best of luck to everyone. Happy Holidays as well. The Attachments here provide a bunch of information specific to the units and buildings of each race including cost for the unit, its build time, and its upgrades. Obviously this is not complete because I do not have access to all the information that Blizzard has but provides you all with some of the information I have at hand. Hope it benefits. Post if you have information which is blanked out so I can update it for everyone in the future. Also post if you find a correction. Thanks. Note: Remember Starcraft 2 is still a work in progress. The things I am providing here are strictly for formulating strategies, and having a grasp on what is to come. These things are in no way definite but are all taken from the Blizzard demos and so have some validity behind them. P.S. Post a "Downloaded" when you are finished downloading so this thread stays near the top. I thought it would be bumped each time someone downloaded but apparently not. I want this at the top so that people will see it and possibly fill in some of the information I couldn't track down. Bonus 1,500 minerals for a Thread of Gold Standard
I've been working on a reference page for a while, was planning on doing it over break. Nice work dude, it's a pretty neat layout. Justly compensated.
Hey Guys: Just a quick update for everyone who is downloading the files. The Terran files were posted first because they contain the most information. Protoss is very lacking in information because the only information that could be taken in regards to the Protoss Units/buildings were from the first introduction of the game where they didn't provide a lot of insight into things. The Terran Building's and Terran's Units Documents contain the most information. If you have any Protoss information please post it because I am sure alot of people are looking for this stuff and it'd be great if SC2 forums were the first place to have it.
You can also find a lot of information here I'm not sure how accurate it is currently since Blizzard will be working on balance, but this is were I've been getting numerical information to start developing possible strategies. It's also easy to get around the site and find what your looking for.
Is that information reliable? I saw that site when I was attempting to do research but they said that they gathered that information from the Starcraft2.com official Blizzard site which does not host any of that information so I didn't want to utilize it since I wasn't sure if it was correct. The information I gathered was strictly from Blizzard Demo Videos so I know that the information I have is aligned to their current version of SC2. Edit: Their source is uncredited. I can't find the linking page to their information. At the bottom after the information it says source: Starcraft2. If you click on the Starcraft2 link it takes you to a broken page on the official website.
I agree. It's rather iffy. I think a lot of it is guesses on that site. I wouldn't have given out such a big reward if it wasn't heavily researched off of screenshots, etc.
Well, the site is good for getting an idea of what the units stats could be around. It has the most complete set of data for each unit currently, even if it won't be the same for the beta, it's still a good way to try to see how the units compare and to see what kinds of units they have and what units will fit you're style of play.
As far as I know the stats on SC2 Armory are from Blizzcon that their members went to and took down notes on the statistics and such, so I'd say that's as reliable as you can get right now. However the stats are from Blizzcon and besides the stats for units they haven't released, it's probably out of date since everything's being changed so much.
Downloaded , Man I love forums, because of guys like you! Cheers, from Sweden. And may Thor be with you!
