    Aye everyone!

    I..... have a confession. :)

This is the first forum ive ever been a part of, what happened was i got into starcraft cause it was one of the only ways a mate and i could keep in contact seein we live very distant lives. So its really the only game i play.

Then another close mate of mine was tellin me, that some of her best mates are on the internet. I was gobsmacked by this, she's a real outgoing girl with heaps of friends i couldnt believe some of her best mates were online. We got talkin about it and after she explained it, well it seemed fair enough to me.

So thats why i came to hunt down this forum, and sure enough there are some real kewl people here :)

    Anyway....

In a way,.. i've been experimenting with this forum. Some of you may have noticed ive tried to come up with new ideas, and then ive proposed the ideas in various ways such as in threads or by PMing mods or whatever, and these ideas have been developed and disscused. Ive also had a bit of conflict on here, and ive experimented with different ways of responding.

Strangley, through creating Clan TBA, some other things ive proposed, other disussions of this n'that in the past about world issues n'what not, ive actually learnt alot about how to manage my ideas. What i mean by that, is figuring out how to go about presenting my ideas, and how much of my idea to give, and how much to keep. Ive learnt some interesting things about the way people respond to ideas, and so on.

I announced a while ago that i was the events organiser for a skate competition, that involved lots of other attractions aswell. That was a huge success.

Now, im in the process of starting 2 small businesses with potential to grow.

The first one is fairly simple, artist representation etc for bands, duos, other live musical arrangements whatever i already have an established relationship in the music industry around here so thats not a big issue.

The second one, is largley a concept, an idea at this stage. I cant reveal the idea as it's unique as it turns out. Not a big money making idea, but an idea im quite passionate about. Anyway, ive requested feedback from various organisations, and this and that has happened.

Now ive got a diary full of meetings with different organisations who wish to discuss my idea with me, ive already had a couple of them and they went really really well. Those meetings helped to develop the idea and make it more strongly focused around my goals and ive gained quite alot of support.

Well, i've of course learnt many skills from other things ive done like the skate competition, and old gigs i used to perform, but in all obscurity, i've also learnt some of my skills from these forums.

Even though its all text, all on the internet, ive still been able to learn some things and its helped me in my efforts in real life. Some liaison is done by email and so on, so there ya go.

Fingers crossed my meetings go well, hopefully ill gain further support for my idea, and if it all works out ill have a second business.

    So thanks to everyone :)

I would have to say that I really learned a lot from moderating these forums. I used run to several others as an administrator and seeing how the forums worked from another point of view really completes my experience.

Good luck with your business endeavor! I am still trying to figure out whether or not I am interested in making a business in the real world or doing one via e-commerce (I am only 19... but I have dreams!!!!oneone)

im stoked, i wasnt expecting that kind of a response at all, not sure what to say i dont wanna keep saying thank you over and over haha :) i really appreciate all that aye, really do.

MarineCorp, and anyone else who's wondered, a headstock is the top of a guitar where the strings attach to the machine heads. You know where you tune a guitar? I love a nice headstock :) I dont have any fancy ones on my guitars, but there is one guitar i have that is quite simple, but the design is a beaut. The diamond shape is empahasised with a slight curve heading outwards from the neck, and it has the script 'cole clark' written on a bit of wood that stands leveled out a bit from the rest. Gold coloured machine heads, different shades of wood, its awesome

If you appreciate guitars, good craftsmanship, or artsy designs, you'll love a good headstock
