The "How was you day folks ?" thread

Hi all.

I wanted this thread to appear in our community but I hope it will not prevent us from talking about SC2, which is the goal of this forum. This thread would be for everybody who wants to post anything related to their daily life.

OF COURSE I don't want people in here just post right here. We have to post even in the main threads. I suggest to start it and once it goes too far it should be deleted.

What happened to you today ? what have you done ? etc ...

 

a day with a cab driver

So, I start today.

Well I will talk about what happened to me yesterday.

You know I am a cab driver working at the Brussels National airport. The cab driver's dream is to make a long trip with a customer. It was 12.30 PM in Brussels when a man came to my cab. "To Germany !" he louded to me, with a mobile phone on his hand. I was glad to hear that, but there were other cabs in front of me who didn't want to take him. For such a long trip ! Why ? Something was wrong with this guy surely I wondered.

He was stressed, excited, scared. Was he late ? I don't know.
"Where must you go ?" asked I
He didn't understand me. "Where ?" ; -"Hamburg !" OMG !! It is a €1,500 trip ! It was late for me. i was sure that if I accepted I would have come back at 19:00 PM. And as I start my service at 5:00 AM each day, I would have been very tired.

He gave me the mobile phone. There was a woman at the other side. "Allo ?" I said. "YA" she shouted. She talked to me in German. And as I don't talk and even understand German it was hard to understand her. However she asked me, in German, if I knew to talk German. As I speak in Flemish it is nearly similar to German so it was not hard to understand her question. I answered "Nein mevrouw" (both German and Flemish together) I didn't know how to answer to her. She wanted to give me the address and I decide to call the guy. "Nein meinhehr, go back and ask other drivers behind me".

I loaded other people after him and I went home early in the afternoon.

Oh, and my day was shitty.

 

Let's see how was my day...Fiance left me...got a ticket...court date delayed....car broke down...college loan taking back by the government...and fired form my job. My day was fantastic.

 

Well i dont have much to telll about my day. Woke up, did school, finished school, ate lunch, finished doing minor details upon my models, and thats about it. If i have a truly interesting day i'll post it.

 

Wow ! Some of us have very great days !

Today ... what I got. Well my schedule of service is 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM. If I load a customer at the airport and that I drop they inside the Brussels territory at 1:30 I am allowed to go back to the garage and go back home.

It was 1:20 PM, I loaded a guy, prayed to get a city center, but .... in fact, I got a destination very near to the airport :<( Result : 1:20 PM load, 1:27 PM drop the guy, so I had to make 5 kilometers alone to go back to the airport to return to the garage at 1:50 PM, alone. What a loss of time !

Anyway I went to see Inglorious Basterd tonight, finally.
And yes, I did orgasm throughout the film.

 

Well on my way to my modern history exam i met a climate sceptic at the train station who was trying to get my signiture which made me angry for most of the day. My modern history exam went well though i focused my rage into destroying Albert Speer's reputation and saying why the US didn't have to drop the A bomb.

Then i went home and finished borderlands....the end is weird...Ninja Claptrap =O.

I also read up on the organisation the "climate sceptic" was working for. Its really just the Australian Dairy Industry but under a different name -.- If only i could boycott milk...

 

I finally got through Ravenholm, friggin level scared me sh*tless

 

Today was a day with poor receipt for me I took a 1 hour break too. Asked for another vest for me for the job as mine (personal one) is not adequate in their terms.

Today I lost 2 hours in the police station because of the accident I did with my cab last week. Just for papers and they wanted to hear AGAIN what I had to say. Just for a trafic accident.

 

Today I went to Antwerp with a guy in the taxi. He wanted me to wait for him 10 minutes. And after all we went back to the airport. 209 € for the cost.

And oh ! .. While I was driving downtown in Brussel I had the chance to meet EXCLUSIVLY the new Mercedes Benz E class convertible which will not be released for now. It was cloaked as I can say but for you I made a shot on it.

 

Lol, you probably shouldn't post licence plates on the internet.

And I like how almost all cabs in Europe are of the Mercedes brand. Way better then those cabs in America. (if all of them are like those yellow ones in New York. Haha)

Oh I'm so going to play Prototype now. I feel like throwing a few of those cabs at stuff.

 

There is sometimes a yellow cab, one of those classic New Yorker cab with a Hollander blue licence plates that comes to the Brussels Airport. This is an old car but when we see it it's amazing. We don't see typical Americzn cars every day.

 

So today I found out that my long-term targeted University of Duandee is most likely not going to accept me for their physics course because I lack IB Higher Mathematics. Facepalm.

 

I have my week end today I don't work of course. I got a poor day yesterday. Bad entrance It was sunday morning so of course ....
