The Safe

The game is simple really.
It takes 24 hours to crack the safe (all times GMT), and I’m the one currently cracking it. You could kill me and start cracking the safe yourself, but then you would be vulnerable to other people, just like I am at the moment.

For an end to the game (and to prevent constant spam) I’ve decided that once you’re dead – you’re dead. So decide carefully.

And the prize?
Well, it’s 1000 minerals handed out by yours truly (donation).
And it’s no joke, I don’t need them at all.

Oh, and the game is for gentlemen only: People with 50 posts or higher. This is to prevent any cheating.

So, who’s going to shoot me first and start cracking the safe?
It’s your choice, but the clock’s ticking.

Don't worry if you die, I will have more things to crack as time passes.

Awesome idea. I don't expect to see any "killer" posts in like 23 hours though.

And I don't think I'm expecting any "killer post" either atm, but it's the suspense that makes things fun

And if 5 people post simultaneously in the last minute or so, the last post made is standing and timer is reset!

Who would open to making a deal? IE, if I start cracking it (and I mean IF, I haven't killed anyone yet, nor started), who would agree to NOT kill me in exchange for a equal cut of the loot?

 

To ensure you claiming the contents everyone would get about 20 minerals. Crafty idea though.

 

Not necessarily.

If enough people say they'll help me, I could line the loot out of my own pocket. Think of it akin to hiring henchmen for a bank heist.

Don't think of the bank heist in The Dark Knight though.

 

Well, since I don't really care about the money (and it's mine too), I'm not all that interested in deals. But what Fenix said is really clever. I'm sure pacts will occur.

Please keep in mind that I will give out the minerals to the one that opens the safe, nobody else. It's also up to him or her if he or she wishes to share the loot or betray the pact.

So if you're going to team up, I suggest you do it with somebody you trust.

And Fenix, keep the banhammer to yourself

A few things.

(A) Can I kill you and NOT start cracking the safe? I want to think things over and such, but with the clock ticking....

(B) To everyone else: I'm a mod, I obviously don't need the minerals. Therefore, this is what I propose. To anyone who helps me, a 30/70 cut, or akin ratio. Thirty for me, seventy for you. Obviously, if more than one person teams up with me, I'd adjust it (Me+2= 20/40/40, Me+3= 10/30/30/30, etc...)

 

What bus driver? --bump-- I would probably betray you.

 

@Lobster, of course I wouldn't ban anyone. This is a pretty nifty idea, I might even say it belongs in the Lounge or Competitions since it's not just a pointless little thing.

@Aurora - Well then you just pretty much lost your chance at ever getting the loot. At the moment, it stands as a last man standing. Considering the 50 post minimum, there's still literally HUNDREDS of possible Last Man Standing. Were you to follow my method, you would've had a chance to win. Unfortunately, I now cannot trust you.

 

Indeed. But I will not ever kill anyone here. I always get really really moody when playing these games, so I wil not participate in the game.

One word of advice: you will probably get backstabbed anyway. Haha. We even have a member called like that iirc. XD

 

But at the same time, I'd be the only thing keeping said user from being killed. He kills me, the next guy kills him.

BUT.

Uugh, my last reply here for now, untill it starts to get really exciting -yeah, woohoo-: what about people shooting people who are in a pact? Can you only shoot people who are cracking the safe, or just anyone who posts here? Oh wait, impossible. Then people would just go on a posting spree... Meh, I am of to bed.

Not that I really care. I'll probably just use my turn to snipe someone I wouldn't like to see win. That's right, I've got a personal vendetta against you, whoever you'll end up being...

The forum's time can be set to whatever time zone you're from.
