First the Thor, than the Viking...the trend is a bit apparent. The Terrans are going to use mecks more than ever before. So, how many people like the new idea? And how will the new robots fit in to the story?
Well technically it was thor and viking at the same time but... I think it is fine. I like how they look.
I think this is really going to make Terran's strategy a little more spicy. In broodwars they were somewhat slow and very defensive... very. Well, for the most part anyway. The mechs look as if they are going to add an offensive element to the Terran. Rather than another defensive unit that can sort of go offensive we might see units that are only meant to attack only and defend only if they absolutely have to. Of course, I know nothing about the units yet... I'm just assuming really huge robots will be as powerful offensively as they are in other fiction >.>
i wonder if medics can still heal scvs but mechs are pretty cool...i mean the other races dont really devolp much in that field and it adds a cool element to terrans imo
Think the mecks will have pilots like the goliath did? I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like either meck has a cockpit (except perhaps the Viking's yellow dot)
I'm fine with the mechs because they are very cool, and in the Starcraft world, innovative units. As long as we stick with just the two mechs, mayyybe one more, then I'll be fine.
its the future. just compare jet planes and helicopters against mechs. present marines = jet planes /helicopter /tanks and robocop . terran marines = mechs / siegetanks / battlecruisers and thor. yah, and one more mech. a mech vulture or something.
lol most likely. why would it change? lol i loved the scv. so heal-able. could be healed by medics and repaired by another scv they were like invincible lol
Exaclty why bother training and waiting for a human to put in it? Make a robot by the millions and its cheaper and more reliable(nobody will cower or ask for a raise) and are more surivable, no need for oxygen or food.
Um yes they do have cockpits. Robots are not as smart or adaptive as people. Didn't you see Attack of the Clones jeez (kudos if you didn't... I wish I didn't)
Well, look at the wraith and goliath. They both have pretty clear cockpits. But the new units don't. With the Terran military so devastated by war, wouldn't it make sense to deploy robots instead of people? As an added bonus, they would be immune to the protoss ripping the pilots brains to shreds and the zerg infesting them. As for where the robots came from, the answer probably lies in stolen protoss teck.
