Alright, just a misc universe vs universe thread. We tend to go off topic anyway, so here is one where you can do it as much as you want.

Just one rule: try to stick with just a few universes at a time. Feel free to choose anything you want in the discussion, as long as you choose no god-like things. That would spoil the fun big time.

I choose the Gundam universe for now. Not the Mechs, but the Suits. How would it do against, for expample, all Starcraft races combined?

That one is a prototype, and it would still own.
    http://mahq.net/mecha/gundam/rx-78-2.html

The Thor would get owned badly. The rx 78 2 runs at over 160 km-h and would simply slice the Thor in half. It would take a dozen of Thors to even hit it, but then it would probably die. Still, better Gundams like the Shining or 00 Gundams can take out an entire Terran colony on their own. I was more interested in how they would do vs Protoss. Would be fun to see a megapost of LK trying to beat the Celestial Being team...

Sure, it goes at 168km/h, but it's 18 meters tall. That's huge. The Thor would just point in its direction and start shooting.

TBH Aurora I am not very interested in Gundam, and have no interest and reading the amount of lore nessecary to make an argument and defend it. From the little I know about the Gundam universe I think the Terran and Protoss would have the edge simply because of the size of their fleets (I don't think there is any Gundam that could stand against a Yamato blast or a Protoss Mothership), I'm just not sure though.

I can tell you I would want the Protoss and Terran to win because the Sc universe is a lot cooler than the Gundam universe but that is my two cents.

    To bad. :(
But I can say this without much lore:

There is a Gundam of medium strength, about 20 meters tall. It fires a nuke-fusion type weapon that is so ridiculously powerfull, that it can only be used in space battles. Why? Because even from a distance, the Gundam itself would be destroyed... The whole shielding was designed for it to survive its own blast, and it took out 3 percent of a fleet at once. ... That fleet had thousands of powerfull ships... :p

The problem with this comparisson is the same one that exists when comparing anything to an anime show (and even some comic), as various shows and comic books evolve they have to keep coming up with something that is newer and stronger and this leads to a change in power and technology that would have been completely unrealistic at the beggining of the series.

In response to your post above you do realize pretty much every Battlecruiser is armed with fusion nuclear weapons right? Assuming they couldn't get to Auir, I think at the very least the Protoss would be able to take them out using hit and run tactics with their Arbiters, Carriers, Void Rays, and Motherships. Also, if the Motherships can do what ut has been suggested they can do, 1 would be more than enough to destroy the better part of a Gundam, and then just use a dimensional recall, recharge and repeat.

What about Western gunslinging culture of the movies and books versus a zombie apocalypse.

I'd say the cowboys, but the Indians and Chinamen would all die first.

Zombie apocalypse is cheating, because it's not exactly a zombie army it's the infectious thing about it.

Might be different in a western type setting with small distant communities though.
