If you have a theoretical question, feel free to ask. It can be serious or not, just give us something to pick our brains for.

Here's one that's been floating around in my head for a while:

Say the Democratic Party (US) went away and our whole liberal left wing was taken over by say a Socialist, Labour, or Communist Party. Would the Republicans still have red as their color?

I doubt it. The Republicans wouldn't want to be shown as a group who lets socialists push them around and force them to change.

    Ok my question
If blizzard went bankrupt before SC2, Diablo3 were released would people donate money to keep their company afloat ?

Probably not, but if they could hold on for another month, that's another 6millionX15USD, so....

Why do people feel the need to shove their political/ethical/religious views down other people's throats?

Thats not a theoretical question Fenix =O
Hmm, because people want more support for their ideas. More reassuring if you have a few million people believeing the same thing you are. And of course theres more opportunity to make money/get power out of it. Plus it doesn't cost any rescources to speak a few words to alot of people.

    Next Theoretical question.
If you were stuck on a desert island inhabitated by an incredibly cute animal which was near extinction. Would you wipe out their species to survive ??

@ Itsmyship. I don't reckon they're change their colour, as that my make them look like they're flip-flopping or trying to cover it up. Instead I reckon they're focus more on their symbol, which is the elephant, if I'm not mistaken. Is that right?

@ marinefreak. I doubt it. But I do believe they'd release whatever they had at that moment in time. They might even just release whatever they had at that moment and fix it all later in a patch, but what with Blizzard being Blizzard and Blizzard owning World of WarCraft... StarCraft2 and Diablo3 are in fairly safe hands. What I would be worried about is that unannounced project of theirs. :p

@ Fenix. It's because they think they're right... And if they're 'right' and someone else has a different viewpoint, then that someone else would have to be 'wrong'... And if that someone else is 'wrong' it's up to the 'right' person to 'educate' them, hence shoving their political/ethical/religious views down the other's throat.

@ marinefreak again. Yes. But if it's such an endangered specie, then chances are it'll be being monitored, so you won't have to chow down too many before being found. If not, they you can finish off their whole race and no-one will ever accused you of wiping them out being no-one will have known they've ever existed.

You'd die. There'd be no time to react. :mask:

If there was a mass zombie invasion, where would be the safest place to hide?

Well obvisouly if something happens we will believe it is true. If a tree falls on your house tomorrow will you believe it happens ...yes...same thing =P. Though apparently hes an angry old fart who will still damn us for eternity... like any insurance company who declares the tree falling on your house was an "act of god" therefore not claimable...

If you were 100ft high and immune to physical harm what would you do?

@ AcE. I've genuinely heard that the best place to hide is an oil rig. :p

If Jesus came down, I'd definitely believe in him and, consequently, would definitely become a Theistic Satanist. If Jesus exists, Satan does too as they coexist in the same belief system. However, seeing as to get into Heaven, etc, you have to genuinely accept Jesus/god into your life and seeing as I don't agree with a lot of the Christian tendencies, when combined with the fact that I doubt anyone would be able to BS their way into Heaven, it would be much more beneficial to accept Satan, consequently ruling out any possibility of being tortured for eternity. Although you would still physically go to Hell you wouldn't be damned there nor would you be submitted to the same torture as all those who tried to get into Heaven but couldn't accept Jesus/god into their lives due to the conflict of interests between their own beliefs and that of the Christian church. As a follower of Satan, you rule out any possibility of being damned for all eternity. Either Jesus will save you and you'll be accepted into Heaven, or you'll go to Hell not to be tormented but as the follower of Satan that you are.

@ marinefreak. Depends. Are you only immune to physical harm or can you still feel pain as well? Being immune to harm but still feeling pain would seriously limit what you could potentially do. Also, are you as strong as you are tall? If you aren't, then you'd practically have to run as hide, as you'd be hunted down and captured for scientific purposes. In fact, do tranquillisers count as physical harm? 'Cause otherwise, regardless of whether you're strong enough to bust out of any nets or traps they lay, they'd still be able to knock you out. Honestly, but pretty lamely, you'd be forced into exile. The good thing is that hunting would be a breeze and you wouldn't have to worry about the harsh environment.

@ Ursawarrior. That's a no-brainer. Destroy it. Destroys any evidence and it'll only cost you however much your computer cost as opposed to the fine given for every single song, episode, movie, game, etc, you've got on it. Either that or you could just have nothing illegal on it in the first place. Probably simpler that way too.

    oil rig ehh....
    *strokes my imaginery beard*
although you will get dirtied by all that oil and stuff, its better cuz a jail would be pretty scary...all dark and all.

    ok how about this one:
If you were in a elevator, which just suddenly stopped, and then FALL like crazy, what would you do? Or more theoretical, how would you try to survive such a disaster...if possible.

Well, if it's inevitable that I'm going to die, I want to go out in style and just before I reach the bottom, yell "SHAZAM!!" as loud as I could. And I'm not sure how you could survive it unless you're like a floor up or such, but it'd kinda just be hope that this stops two seconds before I reach the floor. Major whiplash though.

If you could put up a single billion dollar event (concert, sporting event, convention, festival, etc.) What would it be and who would you get to come to it?

    >ace
    you cant
    simple physics my dear ace

most people would say "jump at the last minute"
    well, its like this

lets say the elevator is falling at a constant velocity of 50mph and you would be falling at the same speed
if you jump at the last minute, you would only counter like what? 1mph of the momentum
    so 50mph down - 1mph up = you're screwed

and elevators have a triple lock system

but if all fails, just lie down on your back and hope you'll still survive until sc2 comes out

    >to ims
a convention, but you dont want to know what kind

    The billion dollar question....

I'd put on a huge music festival. Pay for the bands up front and the venue and the food and other stuff with the billion dollars, get all the best bands (IMO, ofc), then collect the profits ;)
