Studying for my ASVAB as well as for general enlightenment, I thought to myself, "What better way to study then to actually type out and say the words and definition!" This stuff helps me out in retaining most of the words but I am almost positive (no pun intended!) that it may help you too! All of these words have positive connotations if you have not noticed.. Also, these words are taken from worksheets given to me by my former teachers as per request.
Thanks, I've learned a few words that I already knew in french.. most of the time their translation is an evidence.. but it helps to be sure of what I'll be typing..hehe and Jocund, it's the first time I see that word... I'm not quite sure of its french equivalence. Go vocabulary section! are you a nerd?
I would not consider myself a nerd as I do have a life and family to tend to, though posting up vocabulary is a bit nerd-ish huh? I have already written these vocab words down and I just re-typed it into the forum's table format to share it with others. It's something I learned to do and got backup from my college Psychology class.
Yes of course it depends of the definition of nerds.. if it includes not having a life.. then I don't know.. I can't really accuse you of that.. and anyway I don't want to.. and I'm pretty sure most people actually have a life... anyway.. I was refering of the feeling it gives when you see someone who actually wants to post vocabulary and spelling posts.. I strongly encourage that you do.. because it will sure help me.. I want to get better in english. however, refering to stereotypes.. it's pretty nerd.. don't take it as an insult. Anyway.. you can be sure I'll read all your threads about vocabulary.
I don't really have a life. I'm more cyborg and my creator hasn't given me my life yet. He keeps it in a jar. So I guess I'd be a nerd. Nice words by the way. I'll have to beat you to death with them at some later time. Let's all try to use these words in a sentence on the forums! Spread the joy like peanut butter!
Begin Transmission At least your not an AI Joneagle_X. It's tough when you can't have real emotions. Of course if someone would program them into me I would be how most say "Happy"? Oh well. End Transmission "Blaine is a pain, and that is the truth." Jake, The Waste Lands, The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King.
I took the ASVAB last year.....It said I should be either a doctor or a mechanic.....I despise both of those professions.....
Funny, I just finished writing an essay about why us human are always negative and assume the worst. Thanks for proving me wrong! It makes me feel better, really.
It's true though. Humans, by nature, are pessimists. Average ones are anyway. Smart ones are realists, idiots are optimists (No offense to anyone.....If you're happy, you're just missing a bit of info)
hmm I control a bit more than that.. and which rules did I not follow? beside that this reply (and the 3-4 replies before it, btw) are very off-topic? A bump isn't spam btw. now keep it on topic or else I'll have to do some cleaning.
hm. i thought this thread was supposed to be an advice thread. quite helpful words there. this'll help me pass english next semester. ;D
