People are so messed up nowadays. I mean, for God's sake, she wasn't doing anything. It's called music, I can't believe people would ge tworked up enough to stab someone just because of the things they do. that is stupid. Oh thats just bollocks! The world is not getting messier and messier, in fact, overall criminality is at it's lowest compared to the eras like middle-ages, its just that in 21st century the media works all around the globe so the news spread immidietly around the whole globe. And lets face it, the news will rather report crimes, deaths and disasters than puppies.

Now to the incident. What can I say? People are idiots, of course that some are more extreme but I dont like people who judge you according to what music youre listening to or whats your favourite football team etc. I am completely out of fashion, in days when everyone wears their skate clothes with the stupid hat, I wear just some complete random crap, and I laugh at people who protest against my way of clothing.

I think the school laws and laws in general should be more strict about bullying/discriminating specifically in schools. I am not a fan of overprotectivness, but if I was able to, I would beat the people Ive mentioned. Sure, the way you look can be taken into account, so as music, but attacking you for the way you cloth? I mean PHYSICALLY attacking? Especially with a weapon and going directly for your eyes (even when I got into couple of serious fights I never aim for the eyes or hair or anything that could lead to serious or permanent injury).

Anyway, I think we're all overracting a little. These things happen, remember Rwanda? Million people died just because they had the wrong word written in their ID. And the UN did squat to stop them, perhaps that's what people should care about.

Death of single person is tragedy, death of million people is a statistic.

 

It's not about one person, this is just an example of things that happen on a large scale

 

And yet people don't care about the large scale. Yes, if you ask them about the genocide, thell say it's horrible, but to a human the feel of remorse is much stronger if we talk about particular person, with face, with feelings, numbers don't tell us anything about the people who were killed.
It is natural to think like that, but it is very sad indeed. I would like to see less "school bullying" and more serious stuff in the news. Of course, that will never happen because you will rather watch one pool girl and nod your head saying the world is horrible than watching "another 50 people were killed today in country that you cannot even find on the map".

 

it' because numbers are not natural, in humans. We must learn it and understand it. Numbers represent things, but often times when we deal with numbers we forget what the actual numbers link to. When we see numbers, we think "that's sad" and then don;t focus on it anymore. We only see numbers, and not the people affected so we don't give it a second thought.

Also, if we removed lable,s nothign would be solved. What are you going to do? Go to a bunch of little kids and say "you are all equal and all of you are the same"? I do not think people care enough to get rid of them. Many times we try, and fail. Because our minds naturally judge people. And don't give me that "i don't judge" because whether you are aware of it or not, you do. Judgement is a natural human instinct. and for those of us [i don't know if that's anyone on the forums] we are still animals. Judgement is basic nature to save us from possibly bad situations. I still believe; however, that we shoudl eb able to get over labels and just treat everyone the same.

I mean, attackign someone over a band, their hair, who they hang out with...that's just stupid. I know there is worse things going on Worker-like typhoons and gangs and hurricanes-but the fact is, this is just something the media chooses to show. It's all run by democrats [not that democrats are bad, i won;t get into politics]. That just means the same party is running all our news, so we never here anything outside of what they said. For example, Guatemala remains unoticed, as did Rwanda. We don't even know half the stuff that happens.

Regardless, the bottom line is this story should never have happened. It was a bunch of kids being stupid and as long as humans are alive there will be stupid people doing dumb things.
