Old threads seem to keep getting necroposted, then when you click them from the index it says no thread is specified. Then after going into the board itself you can still see the thread, and you can even get into it. What's with this from the index itself?
When you click a thread name at the portal it takes you to the last post in that thread. Since these last posts were incorrectly deleted by our crappy make shift spam guard, the posts seem to be there (checking at the portal) but in actuality they are not, so the forum can't take you to that post, hence the error message. Really now, the purpose of a spam guard is to delete posts and keep the forum unharmed. Ours sort of does the first but not the second. Someone up there, please fix this. If not by any other way then make newly created accounts limited to a set number of posts. Or give a verification box (like at topgamesites) for the first 50 posts of the account. Or something.
Oh yea, I forgot about that. Thanks Vasz. Though I do like the idea of having to have new accounts posts verified. It would take more man power and at least a few new mods would need to be appointed to do so. Fenix being so stubborn won't admit that he needs help to do it. Jon's so busy and won't read this post for a month. XD lol just kidding. Either way, if this happens we'll end up with a few new mods for it.
Well Fenix, some of the spam is being done by actual people and not bots. So if they are determined enough they would just do the test. You'd need to make it last a while to get rid of the problem. Which would deter new members.
