Tosh or Nova?

Who'd you pick and why?

I went with Tosh because all Nova offers is ghosts. I'm more interested in units that I haven't tooled around with in beta. Specter's also have that bit of legend in SC that I had to see them in game.

Tosh is a freaky-deeky voodoo spectorlord with red cloaking and dreads. C'mon sure he seems evil, but, if he leaves the ship who else are you gonna talk to? Nova doesn't join... seems like a big loss on story elements.

Obviously I'll play through again and pick Nova if for anything to do the alt mission to breaking the people outta New Follsum... not sure it's gonna be half as fun as breaking them out. Prob my 2nd fav mission so far with 6 left.

 

I agree with you Blood, the new units interested me more.

 

I went with tosh, because nova seemed like a ***** and offered me nothing. That and i wanted a bunch of pyscho paths on my teams for when **** goes down.

 

Nova, Tosh freaked me out and I just didn't like him. Ghosts are fun anyway.

 

I helped out Nova because Tosh seemed legitimately suspicious when Nova first started talking to me.

Plus Snipe is a lot more appealing to me than the stun that the Spectres have.

 

Tosh because Nova is overrated. She's just hot and everyone goes aah over her when Tosh is awesome and hot. Oh wait.

 

I went Tosh, just because Nova is one of Mengsk's pets, and Tosh obviously is not. Also, she seemed stuck up, and not everyone in New Folsom is bad, that's where Findlay was being chained up.

 

If you go with Tosh and speak with Dr. Ariel Hanson (provided you haven't saved Haven) she will run test on the Specters. She concludes that they aren't psychopaths and that Nova was "Lying to you" about them being so.

 

I went with Tosh, just as i went with Dr. Ariel Hanson, people on my ship is more worth than complete strangers who just say. " Trust me, since i just showed up and need your help".

i went with tosh but i went with the protoss lady because i already maxed zerg research and it seemed like the choice i wanted to strangle that women earlier

 

Tosh, because I wanted to try out spectres. Also because I figured the spectres weren't really psychopathic killers.

 

I played through again.

I wish I could take back my vote for Nova, since the stun was awesome for holding enemies still while Siege Tanks take them out.

Plus Tosh winds up being a bro. Another plus for him is that his mission was a lot more fun.

 

Yeah, I tried Nova's after having finished Tosh's and it was just confusing and repetitive. Even Blizzard made their choice

I went with Tosh and Hansen.

Hansen was a good gal looking for a break. Tosh was frikkin insane, but I saw no reason to side with, as Raynor described her, "a Dominion assassin". Sometimes you've got to break a few eggs to win the revolultion.

 

I hope for canon Blizzard goes with Tosh and Selendis.

 

Bah, why Selendis?

I saw nothing good about exterminating the colonists.

 

They aren't going to have any canon story for those characters. They purposely chose those minor characters for the choice events so that they can get away with not mentioning them in the next two campaigns.

 

"Canon" would be Tosh and Hansen, at least according to the CE DVD. The Selendis and Nova arcs are presented as alternatives.

 

what are the spectres' special ability? ghosts have snipe. is the spectres ability just stun, with no damage? after you get the upgrade for permanent cloaking for ghosts, permacloak ghosts + snipe = awesome. who cares about stunning.

 

I originally went with Nova because snipe looked more useful than stun.

However, the stun actually does a crapload of damage when you add it up as AOE. Makes it better in my opinion.

Second time playing it through, Tosh was much more useful, which, at the end of the day, is cooler to me than dumb story elements.

However, it was pretty badass watching Nova kill Tosh after he accidentally hexes Tychus with a Voodoo doll. That made it pretty much worth it .
