Today, is a sad day for the high school where I learn.
The day begun as every usual friday. But after the first lesson something went wrong. Medics came to thwe school, and it really seemed that they were in a hurry. We didn't know what was happening, neither the teachers. I personally thought that someone broke an arm or something like this.
The second lesson started, and things seemed to go usual again. Till a man came in and told that we mustn't leave the classroom for a while, and stay in silence.
For an hour, the school was totally quiet, and all we knew was the medics were trying to keep a guy alive. After the second hour we had to spend in the classroom, we started to realise that something is really wrong. We tried to forget about it, but it wasn't easy.
Then, after 3 and a half hours they brang the guy to the hospital.
After that we were informed that a 17 years old guy was the patient. He started to feel wrong during the lesson, then collapsed. His heart stopped, but one of his classmates and after that the medics tried to keep him alive.
    There were a bit hope.

Now I am home. And certain news say, that he is dead now. A young life has been ended. He didn't have any problems before, and now, it is all over.

I am sorry for writing this. I am just a bit concerned now. I can't get over this easily. I hope you won't have such an experience in your lifes.

Isn't that the kid who was beaten up the day before? If not then there's two tragic cases on one day. The one I remember was beaten up badly and felt sick at home, was taken to hospital but died on the way.

I'd like to take a little detour from this topic to mention a similar case that was also on TV today, which said a 15 year old was wounded badly by an 11 year old who used a knife to persuade the older kid to give him his mp3 player. The kid can't be prosecuted because he's too young. WTF? He's from romania btw and lives in underpasses and gets money from stealing/robbing and then selling.

    Welcome to Hungary!

kuvasz it is an other case, this guy didn't have any troubles before, he felt all right, and they didn't know any diseases he had, so it was a complete "surprise". I just don't find words.. So yes this could happen to any of us..

i know how you feel, one of the friends of one of my classmates, which i often saw, had fallen of my classmates back seat on her bike and came under a truck. i just couldnt get rid of the thought.

worse: we have a law in holland that truckdrivers must have extra mirros on their car, but the person who brought my class to the schoolfarm(a project) hadnt, i asked him why( i was 7 than) and the truck driver said that that would teach those little brats that the streets are not safe

Ijff, there are sick people running around who should be locked up but that's not a surprise at all. Having no law to enforce safety (or in the case I mentioned, punishment), now that's ridiculous and crazy.

Actually here in hungary most of the drivers have this altitude. They think the road is only their territory, noone can even cross it, and most of them think those warning and speed limiting signs are just for decoration.

Yeah, but atelast you can join EU (are you already in? I dont remember) and hopefuly things will get better, but in Russia, its basically only Moscow and the big cities (regional capitals) which get all the money, and let everything else rot. My house in my hometown (deep in Siberia) hasnt been repaired since it was built in USSR, and now its sunk by 2 meters into the ground, all doors have rotted away/broken out, the walls are pure concrete, it was flooded last spring, etc. My old friends are now alcoholics/drug addicts and it isnt very safe to go out, my best friend (He is the only one who is sane and we are still best friends) had his stuff stolen. All factories (there were loads of them) were closed when the USSR collapsed, with reasons such as ''theres a factory in moscow making the same thing, and since we are now capitalist, we take you out as competition and close ya'' so people are unemplyed and in pure russian style heavy drinking etc. Trees, grass, havent been cut for 1431414 years. The only parts of the town not like this are the main street, and the new buildings, where all those people who made their money by stealing and tricking people, buying out everything. And much much more.

So you think I have a good reason to be communist.

We are already in EU, but I don't see any changes. Well I am joung, and I am not really interested in politics, so maybe there were changes I don't know..
But that you've told is just.. insane. How could they abandon a city like this? Here only the small part of the town is a bit rotten, where the khm.. people live who steal for a living.

Damn right we're in the EU! We now have EU prices, but not salaries, cool, huh?
Interesting fact: my dad lives in England, working as a truck driver (not international), earns 4 times as much as his brother living here in Hungary, who also works as a truck driver. The fun part is that food and household stuff cost the same in the 2 countries. 'nuff said.

Well I don't live there anymore, I have been living in Europe for 6 years now. I just came back last year to visit. Lol. Well what I think more is that how lucky I am, to be living here, being to places they only seen in TV's, they cant even dream about this. So sad. You think I be lying stabbed in a gutter now. All my friends (Think how different they could have been), so many good people left doomed.

I think they just want things to rot/people to die so they will be left with a ''new Russia'' and of course so they don't have to spend money for repairing. But also, the changes in peoples minds are bizarre. I mean, look back at the USSR when people were so close and kind to eachother, now its just everyone hating eachother, so bitter about everything and just full of hate. Money is everything now. You really have to see it to believe it. I came back after 5 years in Europe (I spent my childhood in Russia, I was born right when all the inflation and insanity started. lol. Espacially sad considering my parents were university Phd medical graduates with golden medals, but because the work they do (research) was unescessary then their pay was less than that of a street worker. They had to save money for toys for me and stuff).I remembered things as, well, great, but then....wow. I had a great childhood anyway, I am a very happy person, I think thats because I couldnt understand everything what was happening.

Well back to topic, I remember beating up some people who were really hostile me and my friends, I am still proud of that :p

Wow GM_k, I never knew the countries in the former USSR were in such a state of poverty. I feel sorry that your friends turned to drugs to try to get away from current thier lives. I've never had friends turn to drugs, so I don't really know what I can say to help you out :(

As for the student, I can't beleive his heart just stopped like that for no medical reason. It's scary that this can happen to anyone. I'm not in good physical condition, so I feel that this could happen to me!

    @Hunter

The same thing happened to a friend of mine back in school, he was 15, very fit etc. no medical problems and he just died like that.

On other news some boy who goes my college got stabbed in the neck 3 times and died, but I don't care about him since it was gang related.

i spend like my entire life on the comp, you can ask eon.

Just because someone does doesn't mean that they have problems. I, personally, have gone out few times despite being invited often. I just like the comp better. In all seriousness, we COULD die at any given time. That's why i think you should make the most of everythign here and now. If we accept that we could just drop dead, then it wouldn't seem so scary. every day a bunch of people die for unexplained reasons. Hopefully, in the future, we'll be able to diagnose everything.

People often believe that that only unfit kids like me can just clump to the ground dead, but anyone could. That's why things are the way they are. Don't worry too much. Even if these things happen every once in a while, it often has a reason. I can't say don't swell on it, that'd be impossible. But try not to let it consume you.

As for drugs, i have a few friends who have...if you can, try to convince them otherwise. sometimes people turn to drugs to solve their problems or get hooked. just try to be there for them and try to find ways to get their minds off drugs.

Lol. In summer I'm hardly in doors but I hate the cold and I kinda hibernate lol also its colder here then it is in us so I tend not to go out as much during winter, also college work load has been stopping me from doing certain things ;[

As for drugs don't do it. Don't smoke ciggs either just as bad with different effects.
