I just don't like how some games are rated higher than they should be. Like Halo, there is hardly any blood and plus its not killing other humans, it's killing other aliens. But starcraft has way more blood than halo and its only rated T
Then they're not a legal guardian I think. But most theaters don't even check for that. And I don't think anyone is going to let their 3-4 year old (at most) kid see an R-rated movie.
In Starcraft everything is small and impersonal compared to a FPS like Halo. Also, I don't know if the ESRB takes player mindsets into consideration but compare something like Halo you have a player intend on killing things compared to the strategic manoeuvrings of Starcraft.
I have experienced this sort of enforcement in an opposite sort of way: I always buy children's tickets when I go to see a movie because 6.75 is less than 10.50. I just get them from the electronic ticket thing and nobody really notices. However, a while ago I bought one for an R-rated movie (maybe Cloverfield, I can't remember) and when I got to the ticket-ripper girl (a 16-year old ginger with braces >:O) she was like "I can't let you into an R-rated movie with a children's ticket. You'll have to go to the ticket desk and get an adult one." and I was like "&^%$#@."
