this is about the Iranian opening speach right? what i always find weird, is that we never hear of countries who are against Israel, but do not want every single Jew to be killed. There must be a lot of governments like that out there
That is because the governments in the middle-east are very religion based. They live their lives by it everyday and even kill their own that is the not the same sect as them even if they are they same religion. It is a very serious and zealously followed belief and law structure. For example you will be arrested and executed/be-headed for being homosexual in some countries over there because it is against their religion to be so. They are against Israel because of its religious conatations and the fact the majority is Jewish. As one of the middle-eastern leaders once said "If you want to understand us and be our friends, you can become Muslim"
^ I'm not even touching this one with a 30 feet stick. Way to risky to start talking about riligious influences on political movements. Especially without proper knowledge of it, and being able to make unbiased posts.
I agree with you Aurora. We shouldn't talk about this problem and even judge any parties. We don't masterize those questions and it is not a couple of members in this forum who will change anything or say the truth on what's happening there. We live our lives, we have our own troubles here where we live so we can"t say anything. Personally I don't want to get any thunders on my face because I have points of view that some members here will never accept. So I shut up because here this is a forum for Starcraft 2, not for the Iranian government. So please don't even thank or criticize Ahmaddinejad for what he said because you don't know and I don't know what's wrong in those questions. Thank you very much
Some unexpected spine from Eurabia. One of the points of the conference was supposed "to identify and share good practices in the fight against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance." If that was an opening speech, It is blatantly obvious that racism and intolerance will not be eliminated. Evidence exists when reading those comments posted to the YouTube video. In my honest opinion, Durban II was pretty much a jihad-enabling, race hating conference. Ahmadidhisdad is just a gift that keeps on giving.
Opposing Zionism is great and everything- but being a total asshole Holocaust denier is something very different. I also wouldn't even think of supporting the Iranian government just because of its resistance to imperialism, as they are not a single bit progressive, including their persecution of labour unions and so on. By the way, isn't the US boycotting this conference? Ironic as it is, I have also heard something about one of its plans was to forbid criticism of religion---complete bull****, if its true.
That whole conflict is one piece of ****. I understand they walked out, because that president is mad in his head (seriously). But I will not say more, this discussen is too dangerous... *walks out* -------End of transmission------
Darn i was just about to test the put a hand in warm water and pee your pants myth.Go back to sleep Meee
A member of Iran's official delegation to the UN's anti-racism conference verbally assaulted Shoah survivor and Nobel Prize Laureate Elie Wiesel in Geneva, referring to him as a "Zionazi." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV3rw_QOD7U The incident was captured on film by Sergio Wider of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. The video features the Iranian official repeatedly screaming at Wiesel, who chose to remain silent and ignore the reprehensible comments. The beast has reared it's ugly head once again.
