Usually protoss - Economy/macro help with Terran?

    Hello Everyone,


    Relatively simple question here:

    Usually, as protoss, I find that I can afford to build from/ use about 6-8 gates and 2 robos off 2 full bases. Usually when I take a 3rd expo, I'll throw down another robo or a couple more gates. It just depends on the state of the game and how many probes I've been able to afford, and how mined out I am/am not in my 1st of whatever 3 bases I'm running. If I decide to go stargate tech, I can usually afford 3-4 stargates (since the units are a tad cheaper than from robo facility) assuming I'm not building carriers on 2 base.

    So - as you can see, I understand how much I can afford to build from given my income as P. My macro, as far as SCV and mule production/use is concerned, and knowing when to expand, is still good with T. Maybe too good, because I find myself usually not being able to spend all my resources. I usually dont go more than 3 rax, 1 factory, and 1 starport on 1 base as terran, while usually only building from either the factory OR starport, and all 3 rax. However, once I'm fully saturated, and set to expand, I find that Idk how many more production buildings to build.

    Also - I HATE queueing up units, so having a maxed out/full unit queue is not the answer as a way to spend the mins. lol


    Anyone have any suggestions for 1.5 to 2 fully saturated bases as T? I feel that once I can figure that out, I'll be able to hone my macro as T a bit better.

    I want to be able to play random a bit more in 2s 3s and 4s, and I feel much more comfortable as Z than T - as long as I dont forget to spawn larva. lol

    Well you are getting 8-10 structures as protoss, so I would think that you should get 8-10 structures as terran, but a little less if you are using reactors since that speeds up production by a lot.

    Spend some minerals and gas on upgrades perhaps ?

    Expand to safe locations and protect with your army is another option.

    I usually get upgrades early, +1 weapons by 9 minutes.

    But depending on what they do I can build from 3 gate 1 robo per base.


    VS T I do 2 gate 1 robo push with upgrades by 12 minutes.
    Upgrades will be the difference is similar amount of units.

    I have similar issues you need to experiment and find what buildings you can have and need on 1,2,3 bases
